Yea that was funny. Sometimes BB needs to get over himself. Hollister has been playing big time football for years. Its not like he taught him how to read and write.

To be fair college players nowadays have no effing clue when it comes to pass protections which is what I think BB is talking about. Even those colleges that have supposedly pro style offenses are not even close on that. And as a TE you will have to do some blocking.

Agree. When commenting on Shaq's dominance he said college OLs are woefully unprepared for the NFL.

Would love to see more of what Hollister can do. Seems like a solid player all around and since he's young, should have a relatively high ceiling.
I keep being curious about the other Hollister as well. Glad he has stuck around on the practice squad, but with Dorsett being somewhat ineffective, I would like to see what he can do.

Definitely.. while Shaqs issues with pass pro had more to do with the triple option offense he came out of, I think there is no question at all that not running proper protection schemes at college level is becoming a real issue at NFL level. Especially because the reduction of offseason practices in general and padded practices in particular have made it pretty difficult for young OL player to get enough quality reps in.

I'm not at all confident that he's going to have a breakout game as a receiving threat in Gronk's absence, but Hollister has been a much more visible contributor on ST and blocking better recently.

And I don't think that Hollister's offensive snap count is going to suddenly jump from 8 to 60 + for this game.

Looked good catching and fighting for the ball in camp. If any new tight end not named Martellus might catch a couple balls now, it's him

Dorsett and White are likely to get the additional targets.
