One thing to note about Stidham: he did well enough last offseason that the Patriots were willing to cut Hoyer and pay him $1.5M to not play for them.

What else are they going to say though? The Broncos loved Trevor Siemian too after Manning retired and Ossweiler left. Let’s see how Stidham does in camp before we think he’ll be any good, and in the meantime bring in some at least mediocre competition so that the team doesn’t completely go down the toilet if Stidham doesn’t have it.
