Third String But Playing on Special Teams
I remember the refs gift-wrapping that game to Denver, only for them to get their lights knocked out by a $h!tty Steelers team. Pats win that game @Home, and they beat the Seahawks for the 3peat.

I felt similar the following year. Had the Patriots defense not all been sick with the flu, New England wouldn't have blown that lead in the second-half and they would have definitely destroyed Chicago for what might have been a comfortable Super Bowl win instead of all the nail-biters ;)

Brady having Branch instead of Bugeyes would have been helpful too.
