Mac Jones Fined For Unsportsmanlike Conduct During Bills Game
Ian Logue
The NFL already fined Bills safety Damar Hamlin after the hit that concussed Jakobi Meyers, but New England Patriots quarterback Mac Jones ended up paying a larger penalty for far less.

Guy body slams Mac and gets nada, Mac flicks the ball towards him and gets fined >10K
Jakobi gets cheap shotted, will miss at least 1 game, and that guy pays <1/2 that

That's beyond pathetic.
Unless they're basing it on intent - Mac knew he flicked the ball, other guy didn't necessarily have intent to injure Meyers...but even still, not even close to equatable.

Figure this one out:

These three are all fined even more than Hamlin for something that was, again, far less. Just mind-boggling.

I'm not sure I even understand what the fine is for. It's not clear that Mac even meant to flip the ball towards the player, you could easily argue he was just tossing it backwards. At worst it could be "delay of game."

Body slams were once illegal. Has that changed or is this ok when it’s the Patriots?

It's OK when it's the Patriots or any other team without a QB whom chicks dig or isn't one of the New Faces of the ftNFL.

Haven't they been warned/fined in the past for doing the same thing?

The ball was flicked to the balls. That's probably the reason for the fine. Initially I thought "there's a ref in the area!!!" but it's clear as balls where the intended destination of the throw was. Kinda bush league on Mac's part.

Why is it bush league? He got slammed to the ground and was frustrated Trent Brown missed another block, shows a little fire, no? TB used to do stuff like that all the time and we loved it because it showed he was competitive.

If he threw it anywhere else I'd agree with you. Gonna have to agree to disagree about throwing to someone's balls on purpose being bush league.
