LOL! That's awesome.
Brady Proved on Sunday the Patriots Gave Up On Him Too Soon
Ian Logue
Obviously, everything has to end. Moving on from Brady needed to happen eventually, but the fact New England put Brady in the position to have to move on is the part that will potentially go down as one of the more frustrating ones in team history.

Once the draft, free agency etc. gets going the Brady threads will dwindle downuntil it invades 90% of the threads created here
I don't know about that especially if Tampa is aggressive in FA.Once the draft, free agency etc. gets going the Brady threads will dwindle down
Sorry its not as pretty as yours
It's not a steep fall.
Brady has led his new team to the Super Bowl year one. His teammates and the head coach are openly crediting Brady for their success and turnaround from last year.
Complementary aspect? Their pass offense ranked 2nd in the NFL. Their run offense ranked 28th. Their run defense was tops in the NFL but their pass defense ranked 21st. Their secondary can be had by an above average passing game. Kansas City has the NFL's top ranked pass offense and the best quarterback in the league. Tampa Bay is going to need an extraordinary performance from Brady and the offense to beat KC in the Super Bowl.
In their current 7-game winning streak, Brady has 20 TD's, 4 INT's and he's averaging 313 passing yards per game. That's more than just complimentary.
They'll have the 7th-most available cap space this offseason and their only UFAs of importance are Shaq Barrett, Lavonte David & Chris Godwin (& AB maybe), and I imagine that as soon as those 3(/4) are re-signed they will look for help in the defensive secondary; but other than a couple of veteran additions there, I don't see them going really crazy at any other positions...I don't know about that especially if Tampa is aggressive in FA.
Agree totally! He Lebroned it! But honestly at this point I think his greatness is his ability to get teammates to believe they will win.We already know this. We knew that we would be walking away from a few productive years of Tom Brady.
The fact of the matter is he wanted to go. The Patriots were going to need a couple years to retool in order to become premium competitors no matter what we did with Brady and Brady didn't want to risk spending his last years spinning his wheels. it was mutually agreed that it was time to part ways. In short we didn't fire him any more than he fired us.
I actually expect another 2-3 years of strong but declining play from Brady. Who knows, if we get our act together he might even come back at some point. But the Patriots were no longer Brady's best bet to keep winning, and both sides made a business decision. Probably a very emotional one. But also probably the right ona
The passing offense would be watchable at least . It wasn't this year with any QB that was on our roster.Brady had a great year but he also is playing on a stacked team.
Does anyone believe Brady would have had that type of year on this team?
The ignore thread option exists, chief. The vast majority of people want to discuss it. This includes you since you’re an active participant in these threads. So, having said that, you have three options here: 1) Ignore these threads; 2) Don’t ignore them and don’t participate in them either; and/or 3) Stop b.itching if you’re going to participate in these threads.until it invades 90% of the threads created here
My guess is next year Ian will come to his senses and move the threads about other teams to the area on the forum set up for threads on other teams. Then we won't have to ignore threads on the main board written about other teams. The ignore thread option exists, chief. The vast majority of people want to discuss it. Additionally, you can always find another Pats forum to peruse. PatsPlanet is great if you ignore their 2003 software and porn pop-ups. But I think you’re going to run into this “problem” no matter where you go.
The irony of someone who doesn't contribute anything in the way of quality posts or cash telling the owner of the board what to do is not lost on me. Glad to see you’re still alive, though. You went quiet in the Harry and Tompa threads. I will of course miss you Kontra!
The funny thing is I never said anything bad against Brady, never ripped him for leaving, never said he sucked or had lost it. I cautioned people early on when he was doing great that he was a 43 year old qb who had a good chance of getting hurt or at least having to play through nagging injuries like he had the past 3 or 4 years and I was called all sorts of names for doubting him. Of course when he struggled midway through the season many of those same people were saying the exact same thing. I never went there to gloat, if healthy Tom will win.The irony of someone who doesn't contribute anything in the way of quality posts or cash telling the owner of the board what to do is not lost on me. Just the anecdotal evidence that people have been saying for a while now, with no real hard evidence. Is there actual evidence that the Pats "gave up" on Brady?
That site really is still around... lol. Haven't gone there in ages. I know some of my fellow ESPN board'ers went there...The ignore thread option exists, chief.
