Never a Better time to offer Douglas or Dugger for Brown

Douglas and Dugger maybe, but straight up. No picks.
And don’t even think about adding Chism in! No way!
You could talk me into adding Gibson, maybe…

I disagree on getting another WR at this time. RB is a much higher problem followed by a coverage LB and OL depth IMO. So no...their will be a better time time to get another WR...just not now.

Understand my guy. However if the opportunity presented it's self and it made sense for the for not just now but going forward then Vrabel absolutely makes a move.

I like the way the offense is now but going forward Vrabel knows we need more. At RB it's gonna be rham, Henderson and Jennings unless we trade for someone else. Henderson with more playing time should become more productive.

Let’s just say the quiet part loud here.

I don’t think having Diggs and Brown in the same locker room is a great idea.

Now after this season if we want to move off Diggs for whatever reason? Sure.
Agree. I think we have enough receivers getting open. Now if we want to improve, find an Olineman that can improve the blocking, or a linebacker, or a corner or a real fullback.

Brown and Hurrts have been here before. That 2023 Eagles team completely imploded, but bounced back and then some.

This is different Brown and Hurts are clashing they are in disarray
They can’t be together, the Eagles are imploding it’s addition by subtraction for them.

Adding Dugger or White gives them much needed help on D.
Douglas would work better with Jalen’s short passes than AJ does.
And he’s a free agent next season.

A third is the most the Eagles are getting at this point.
So the Eagles, in the middle of a Super Bowl window (and fresh off a Super Bowl), are going to eat $80 million in dead cap, trade away one of the best receivers in the league in his prime, and take our over-priced safety who hardly plays and our underachieving, positionless, D-lineman who has done nothing in the league?

AJ Brown may be annoyed at his lack of targets/catches but I haven't seen him publicly request a trade. This isn't exactly Terrell Owens doing sit-ups in his driveway.

I think Mike knows AJ and he knows if him and Diggs would mesh or clash.
I also believe Mike can get both to do what’s best for the team.

Eagles would want Boutte, but I’m not giving them Boutte.
Actually, Mike's familiarity and experience with him is a plus I hadn't considered. But I don't see the Eagles trading him to us (or anyone) for a bag our rejects and an early day 3 draft pick.

However, those chances will grow if the Eagle's problems continue. They my think they need to shake up the team with a big trade.

I always love the "Offer up some players we don't really want for an elite player and throw in a mid-round pick" posts.
Maybe we can throw in Bill Belichick too ...
It's not only what they might want in return, we'd also have to outbid pretty nearly every other team in the League.

We should trade Dugger immediately. That way, Pettus and Schooler can get lost of reps at safety.

Because its not $90 million.
Salary - $17,523,497
2025 Dead Cap: $11,739,807
2026 Dead Cap: $38,901,421
2025 Savings: $5,783,690

Total dead cap over 2 years would be $56 million, if I'm not wrong. His full guarantee vesting on his '26 pay was triggered in March of this year.

Where is @Miguel when we need him?

Trying to trade dugger and a pick for Budda Baker is much more realistic and would probably be more beneficial to the team.
Right now in certain positions guys are only going to Get better by playing. Woodson a rookie is steadily improving for example.. Dugger clearly is a bit player. Buddha is a nice player. Would have been nice to try to pry minckah away in Miami.

Ya a guy like AJ Brown could never be a part of a winning organization. He certainly couldn't win at the highest levels.
There were rumors last year about him being unhappy and they were winning. They were winning this when the rumors started, now after the last 2 weeks they have intesified. They were winning and he was not happy.

His comments after the SB about the bliss from being a SB champs lasted about 2 days. He said his thrill from the game comes when dominates his opponent, when the DB drops his head and surrenders because he can't **** with him. The takeaway is that he is going to be unhappy unless he gets his 8-10 targets a game and that is not the situation that we need for Drake Maye.

Great plan. Get a guy with a huge contract who is approaching the wrong side of 30, who is known as an injury risk, and give up on decent depth pieces who still could become something more with (finally) good coaching.

Douglas, I think, is lurking for when the time is right to let Drake really open up the offense. If you notice, it's still all passes to the TEs and HBs, and quick hitters to WRs. McDaniels is coaching Maye up to get the basics of offensive gameplan management down before getting more exotic and doing more with the receivers.

So let me get this straight. We currently have a great culture and a excellent locker room dynamic and you yahoos want to add a guy who literally is ruining the "perfect team" who had everything going for it, single handily. WHY???? Because he is a good WR and we all know that it been proven that teams with great WR's always win championships. Right?

You guys and your WR fixations. It used to be cute. Now it's just annoying.
I agree Ken. Diggs is playing like a #1 and by all accounts has been a great leader. Why bring in Brown and possibly piss off Diggs? Lets continue to develop our own receivers and don't screw with the locker room culture.

I certainly wouldn't hate AJ coming here, but I also don't pine for it like some other posters.
We are tied for the 7th best passing attack in the league (yds/game), and it certainly appears we are getting better too.
WR is far from our biggest need.
Seems some folks think adding a WR would what, make Maye a 300 yard/game passer every week and we would score 35 points a game?
Diggs has certainly looked like a number one the last 2 weeks.
Williams is getting open, seems like his chances to contribute more are coming.
Boutte is dependable as are our TEs.
We have 2 backs that can catch out of the backfield.

AJ would make us favorites in the AFC
