Never a Better time to offer Douglas or Dugger for Brown

@Love The Drake
I get a good chuckle seeing your next WR Love post
If you ever go to prison and the residents there find out about your fetish
You are going to one popular little dude

The idea was cool, the reality was nil, and with him saying he doesn't care to be a champion, then he can find elsewhere.

The media browbeat Diggs in his introduction here about snap counts, catches, all this perceived "diva" **** (anyone ever realize the only people who toss around the diva label are divas themselves?), and he calmly said he is here for the team, he is here to win. Diggs has earned the trust, coming from injury, from being blamed in Buffalo, and is helping the team tremendously.

I dunno. Cool as a dream, but none of the reality makes sense, especially if that's his take on being a champion.

I disagree on getting another WR at this time. RB is a much higher problem followed by a coverage LB and OL depth IMO. So no...their will be a better time time to get another WR...just not now.
I like Diggs, Boutte and Douglas. Hollins here and there.

What round draft pick are we sending in this deal?

Ditto. And I just don't think Diggs and AJ Brown can coexist in the same locker room...can't have 2 top dogs right now. And what does that do for Williams? His growth will be stunted by bringing in someone who will essentially take all his snaps...which he doesn't get many anyway yet. We need an RB way more then a WR.

Total dead cap over 2 years would be $56 million, if I'm not wrong. His full guarantee vesting on his '26 pay was triggered in March of this year.

Where is @Miguel when we need him?

Ya it appears that way, but its not $90 million.

I'm so upset that Wolf didn't give Higgins 35 million a year.
For this year.
Higgins is 25. In three years it's a different discussion. I'd be happy either way. Higgins would have been here for the full run. Diggs likely won't be, or won't be contributing more than leadership at that point, that's the only difference.

Favorites for what, biggest fkn wh iners?
Dude is chasing himself off a SB winner, shot his way of his last team, and clowns are jumping on his jock.

You're almost as bad as the Twins.
He didn't shoot himself off his last team. He was traded by a new owner and overzealous new GM with new power.
He got traded out from under Vrabel.

This is why I'm monitoring AJ Brown the next couple of weeks so I can form an opinion. I don't care that he reads on the sidelines. It annoys me he gives up on routes, but at the same time he obviously wants to win, so I want to get the full picture.

But AJ Brown's not really a malcontent. That's like saying Diggs is a malcontent.

What, he wasn't a problem in Minn or Buff?
Ya, Okie Dokie...

There were issues in Tenn, I remember reading about it, next thing you know, he's in Philly.

Never thought he was worth it. I saw some stats on him on a per game basis and they looked great. But you need to stay healthy. Also Waddle had great years with a healthy prime Hill. I was never convinced Higgins could produce without Chase.

Well...
I never thought Higgins was worth 30M+, but his averages have been slightly better without Chase.

In the five career games where Tee Higgins has played without Chase, he has accumulated 31 catches, 511 receiving yards, and 3 touchdowns. This averages out to approximately 6.2 catches, 102.2 yards, and 0.6 touchdowns per game. Before the 2023 season, his stats in the four games without Chase were 26 catches for 371 yards and 2 touchdowns.

Tee Higgins' 5 Games without Ja'Marr Chase:
3/49/1
7/60/0
9/148/0
7/114/1
5/140/1

This is entirely reasonable. Is AJ like Antonio Brown, or closer to Dillon and Moss?

I'm honestly not entirely sure, either. His cap hit is huge and I don't know if we get the return on value for him, even if he would definitely be an awesome weapon for Maye. Could we get more bang for the buck elsewhere?

I can't definitively answer that, and fortunately, since I'm just an ******* on a computer and not the GM, I don't have to, but it's interesting.

Yep. I can understand paying #1 money for a superstar receiver, like Jefferson, Chase, or Lamb, but giving it to a # 2 like Higgins because you desperate is how you destroy your chance to become a consistent contender. You can only give that $$$& contract to a few guys, and you don't waste it n guys who shouldn't get that kind of deal.

I just don't believe he's worth top dollar. Chase, Jefferson, or Lamb are another story, but Higgins isn't a superstar player.

Right now in certain positions guys are only going to Get better by playing. Woodson a rookie is steadily improving for example.. Dugger clearly is a bit player. Buddha is a nice player. Would have been nice to try to pry minckah away in Miami.

Woodson is our FS/deep nickel. Budda would replace our SS and also help fill the gap we have in our LB department. He's a stud when it comes to dissecting a run/pass play and has top level instants and game IQ. The man clearly watches a lot of tape. He's an A level stud when its comes to jumping the gun and making the right read. He'd be great on this team. You fill two needs with him. SS and LB of sorts. I hope AZ loses their next 3 games. Considering his contract is close to Duggars, Id give up possibly a 3rd. It's almost a salary swap for a much better player at that point. Total upgrade.
