This place has gotten so sick and negative, I hate to mention something where we're fortunate.

I hate to lose Carter, I assume it's for the season. My favorite player of this year since early on.

However, thanks to some other moves BB made, we aren't in terrible shape here. Shaun Ellis has been a damn good clutch veteran in the past and might provide some flexibility along with the much improved Anderson, the good looking Moore from last year and the possibility of throwing Markell Carter in there.

Negative Nancys, I don't care how much he makes or how few snaps he's had. This is one time that BB's practice of trying multiple players is going to help us. Lawrence Taylor ain't walking through that door. /Pitino

I am with you brotha, lets go Pats!

Not like we don't have other positions to worry about. Plus I've become a pretty big Ninkovich fan. He gets stuff done out there. I think we can still get a better rush going than we used to, I really like our big line and rush line depth.

there's just too many combinations to call people just linemen, OLB. Depending on the lineup we can throw a bunch of people outside from big Deaderick, Anderson, Ellis, to Nink and maybe Fletcher. Inside besides Wilfork and Love there's crafty Gerard Warren and big body Brace.

So that's right, let's play ball and forget this negative crap. Save it for the off season (you can stow it then too, except for draft and FA).

were the one seed now....awwww yeah

It is what it is. We have to make due but let's not pretend that this isn't going to hurt us. Carter has been awesome for us.

I would like to see what the other Carter brings to the table.

love the overall tone of the OP.....it is touching

there are a couple of possibilities.......keep the current scheme tendencies, and start anderson ..... don't like it because it takes anderson out of where he has been effective as a backup. problem is that there is nobody else who has played a down to stick in there to at least be able to scheme the same way as with carter. neither carter or moore have done anything this year, so they may not be ready.

the other option would be to go back to more of a 3-4 and start fletcher or guyton at OLB (assuming that spikes, mayo and ninko take the other 3 spots) and use anderson situationally

ellis is not much of a factor in this ...... he seems done

Carter was awesome, my fsvorite player this year, as i said. In fact, I'd rank him near Rodney Harrison territory for leadership and performance for an outside vet.

But...everybody's injured this time of year, every team. That 5 or 6 man sack of tebow late in the game was awesome, we still have a lot of guys playing well and playing together in the front seven. Adding Spikes soon, I hope. maybe get some safety/LB hybrid play from Kouisevedes or White too, to shore up our weak point.

You only need to make plays on the field, not be all stars.

Now the secondary is another story. There, i might get with Tebow and pray some.:help:

LOL........

I'm sorry I've gotten you so worked up that you feel the need to copy a post from another thread to make a meaningless point in this thread.....

fact is, I replied in this thread with a sincere post, and you're still quivering in the corner like some junkie

i will say this even with out Carter the pass rush is still better then last year with Anderson... i am really starting to think this team is going to win it all

Andre Carter will be miss and hope speedy recovery. That being said we are ahead of the AFC. We got just as much of chance as other teams to win. Bill will figure this one out. Dudes I am half full kind a of dude. Got a feeling it is back to 3/4 D.

regarding the actual thread, the pass rush looked good against Tebow and it should be noted that Baltimore, New York, Pittsburgh all have exploitable offensive lines.

Wooden Indian of the Year Ben Roethlisberger is really going to hate this thread.

I hope Anderson is able to step it up. They seem to use him, particularly at the beginning of the year, only in the 2nd half or even the 4th quarter, when the other side is in pass mode. I guess that speaks to his ability to defend the run, but the guy does have the ability to get in there when they turn him loose.

I'm sorry, but this is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read on this board. Dude just gave his opinion, and wasn't even unreasonable or overtly critical in doing so. What did he say that justifies this kind of reaction?

Regarding the pass rushers, I think in terms of depth it's the one area on defense in which we're in reasonably good shape. I just wonder if Carter being out will mean more use of a 3-4, or if the growing usage of that scheme starting in the second quarter was only a product of Denver's success running the football.

If you have been reading all the negative posts and the continual slamming by some specific posters of the Pats and worse, the ostrich mentality of some posters not wanting to note any positive and focus only on the negative, you will understand that this reaction is apt.

In other words - read the past posts of that poster and then judge RayClay's reaction.
