NE vs Miami pregame thread

Well the game isn't in December.

And that's also incorrect. Pats won in Miami in '12. Game was in December.
We also beat them in 2011, I remember we started this game horribly and ended up smoking them in the second half. 27-24 final. Matt Moore was QBing..

Where did that guy get his info?.....

That was in Foxboro. Game in Miami that year was week 1 when Brady threw for 500 yards

Ed Hoculi's crew has been assigned to the game.

Whateva Chiuba, no way Pats lose this game. Miami was done 2 weeks ago. Tannenhill is pissing blood. Grimes will be wondering what Miko will say next, HC working on his resume. Anyway doesn't a loss help Miami in the draft next year?

Well there's the back to back road game bugaboo. The chilling effect of already having a bye week secured and being afraid of more injuries from going full throttle against a team with a cheap shot artist rep.

I think we'll win but it may be closer than we'd like.

No way.

Do you have a photographic memory?

They didn't lose home field advantage, they lost it earlier with losing to the Steelers. The Steelers went 15-1 that year and had the head to head tie breaker.

People need to get their facts straight. That Miami game was literally meaningless.
Not true - at the time of the Miami game the Pats were still very much in the running for the #1 seed. Going into that game both teams were 12-1. The loss just about handed Pittsburgh the #1 seed...

This game will be determined by the first couple of drives. They need to get off to a good start.

Fact is, they've lost 2 in a row in Miami and have not looked good in either game....if history tells us anything with this team they are consistent in situations in which they generally struggle (vs NYJ defense, away vs Denver, vs NYG anywhere, at Miami late season, vs Rex Ryan defense (aside from week 2 this season)...also, the Patriots are severely undermanned on offense and defense.

With no McCourty, Chung, Hightower, Ninkovich (likely) we'll see the same vanilla 4 man rush all day like we saw vs NYJ and whoever's playing quarterback will be throwing against a depleted secondary. And with a shorthanded offense we'll see the same struggles we've seen since Dion Lewis got hurt - bad on third downs, inability to run the ball, Brady throwing it away a lot, and Brady getting hit a lot.

This isn't to say they can't or won't win, the point is that people dismissing Miami haven't been watching football very long or they are blind to the way this team's been playing on offense lately. We've seen what can happen (Philadelphia game) if the Pats don't play a clean game in all three phases. If they spot Miami any points on special teams or defense, it's going to be a tough, tough haul. Sure, the defense has been good.

Additionally, there's steady to heavy rain in the forecast for Miami on Sunday. If anything is a mitigating factor when two unevenly matched teams meet it's definitely the weather....I would also argue that if it's going to rain Edelman and Amendola will not play on a slippery track so we'll have the Brandon Bolden/Keshawn Martin receving extraordinaire show again...

I'm ready for a nail biter, last possession wins game - everyone else should be as well...

The Dolphins can't wait for the season to end.....the pats can go in there quietly and win the game with conservative play

Get to tannehill a few times early and that will be that.... They can run or stop the run

If they get to him early, they will be earning lots of 15 yd unsportsmanlikes!

You're Not allowed to tackle inactives sitting on the bench.

This is what I've been saying for last 2 weeks. These guys checked out over 2 weeks ago. You should hear the local Phins radio stations. They are truly a pathetic team. Please sit Hightower so he can get healthy.
