Myra Kraft, dragon lady?

This is pretty silly. All it takes is one media hack to recall the Peter issue and throw out there that Myra Kraft is putting heat on her husband based on that, and people just jump right in. Nobody gets any credit here, no matter what they do. They're all just one move away from destroying everything. Ye of so little faith.

It's called the 'lynch mob mentality'. And it's been prevalent throughout society for some time. It's just one method for influencing individuals who for whatever reason -- choose to believe in what they read or hear rather than maintain an open mind and seek the truth.

This board, and it's posters, are an extension of society. So it's not too surprising when some individuals post heresay, etc -- but always disappointing to see others blindly follow...

It was CHRISTIAN Peter. not Jason, and that was ten years ago, IF you can believe the media's representation of what happened. I challenge anyone to find another example of her having "input on team personnel decisions" to post it right here, chapter and verse. And if she HAS had the kind of input that is suggested here, then I'd suggest she's done a hell of a job, with the three Super Bowls and all.

That's right. I always get the two Peters brothers mixed up because they are peas-in-a-pod.

I am sure Myra is concerned about possible infidelity by her team members, but I seriously doubt she would recommend ousting BB based on the *RUMORS* that have been floated ... from God only knows where.

Just another attempt to sow seeds of division within the house of Patriot. Lame.

Here's a thread that should never have been started and does no credit to PatsFan.com or to the posters who've been dumping gasoline on this miniscule ember.

Enough.

For crying out loud, stop this stupid thread!!!!!!

It's embarrassing and demeaning to everyone concerned.

I agree, this is the worst thread of the year. Low class and mean.

Bingo! Starting a thread like this based on unfounded rumors is just as like the Herald using their front page to sensationalize that divorce junk.

Just gutter talk in my opinion.

Well, just wanted to make sure it got in under the wire! Seriously, though: You can choose whether or not to believe the information in the PFT article, it's not something I made up out of "meanness." Myra's history with the team at least lends credence to this possibility. IF it is true -- if Myra Kraft is making BB's alleged marital infidelity an internal issue with Bob and Jonathan -- it potentially COULD affect BB's tenure here, as unreasonable as that might seem. And not necessarily because of direct action by the Krafts, but by affecting BB's own personal comfort level. Hopefully it's not all that serious, but it does merit notice.

Whoa! The pot calls the kettle black once again!

Where there's smoke there's fire,

If effing Myra sabotages one of the greatest runs in the history of sports because of the same old Boston puritan moral bullcrap I will never spend a dime toward this team again.

They laugh at us in the southern states for this ****y garbage.

And yes, she did sabotage the Christian Peter pick. There's precedent here.

PFT floats NFL rumors each and every day and this board has been willing to rehash and dissect alot of what Florio spews out. What is the difference now? The Kraft family has made it known in the past that they value high character in their employees and in at least one instance, terminated a draftee because of his abusive treatment to women. This board has been more than willing to make opinions on the off-field troubles of players, usually on other teams, so don't get so indignant when a poster brings up a scenario that has actually played out in the past.

Wait. Do you think I give a sh*t whether the "southern states" laugh at us? I'd said there's plenty to laugh at about them and since this isn't the poltical forum I won't even begin to list them.

Armen my man and others. This is a rumor from a dubious source, not a substantiated fact. Let's lay off personal attacks on Myra until we actually KNOW something.

This sort of crap (from PFT), if true, bugs the hell out of me: " ... the Patriots (as we hear it) are more inclined to let coach Bill Belichick leave than Pioli. Myra Kraft, the wife of Bob Kraft, is said to be very troubled by reports of Belichick's alleged 'relationship' with a married woman in New Jersey, which information surfaced earlier this year in connection with the woman's divorce proceedings."

I can't imagine Kraft being "far from a man" by letting his wife dictate who the coach of HIS team should be. Belichick's personal life is his, not Myra's business. Its not like BB is out giving interviews about it. If it wasnt for that pair of elephants who write for the Inside Track, no one would know about it.

The " so called Belichick and Kraft feud is becoming somewhat alarming

I know the rumor mongers are having a field day with Belichick leaving the Pats for the Giants, and that things are not as hunky dory between Kraft and Belichick .. Yes I agree you got to take what these rumors are... Just Rumors.. But sometimes you have to admit , when there is smoke , there is fire. Hearing these stories is becoming somewhat alarming, I mean if the unthinkable happens, and Belichick leaves, granted there will be some fans will say , hey as long we have Brady we will be fine.. That statment is somewhat true, but those fans were the same people that said , as long as we had Bledsoe we will be fine, well we got worse for the next 4 yrs.. Belichick needs Brady, Brady needs Belichick, and the Pats would be nothing without the 2 of them bottom line.. So here is hoping these rumors die down, and we can focus on the challenge of winning another Super Bowl...

Seems wrong to me to discuss Myra Kraft negatively on this board ... just my opinion but it seems kind of rude. For all the good we have experienced in the Kraft era ... She is not officially a worker in the organization ... I think he would appreciate arrows behind shot at someone else.

Correct me if i'm wrong but does Bob Kraft owe much of his Good fortune to his Inlaws? She was upset when Parcells called Terry Glenn "she" and looked what happened there. She may very well be a sweet lady but then again maybe she can be a medelsome *****, who knows?

Re: The " so called Belichick and Kraft feud is becoming somewhat alarming

Exactly what are they supposedly fueding over????

And I guess I have been under a rock, but the only thing I ever remember seeing about it was the blurb on PFT. And they basically felt BB was going nowhere. And I don't exactly remember them saying BB was unhappy or fueding with Kraft (My memory does suck though).

So please, fill me in and add some links

Re: The " so called Belichick and Kraft feud is becoming somewhat alarming

Like we needed yet another thread on this same UNSUBSTANTIATED rumor?

Re: The " so called Belichick and Kraft feud is becoming somewhat alarming

Just some speculation, but it's easy to imagine that Kraft might be trying to hold the line on salaries, even if only to make a point to the other owners that the salary cap did not need to be increased quite so much. As long as they are not spending to the cap, this remains a possibility, and would naturally be a frustration to Belichick, who is competing with other coaches who are spending to the cap.

Sometimes it just means somebody's smoking something.:wha: :help:
