The quote I provided was actually really badly out of context... he didn't even say "him", he said "them" - he was talking about playing rookies in general and not specifically about Mac. The conversation about the Burns hit hadn't even come up yet in the interview, this part was earlier in the interview, but the stupid article moved the quotes around to make it seem as if the quote was later and was specifically talking about Mac Jones, but it wasn't.

The Garrett hate was way overblown, if you actually watched the video it was really funny. I laughed my butt off. He was mocking Burns if anything. Tone is key. He wasn't dissing Mac, he was really just mocking that it was even a story at all (like we are).
