Mychal Kendricks

He’d probably start for us, let Van Noy excel in a more reduced role & kick one bad LB off the roster.

BB vs. the board as @long distance suggests

There was trade talk around him during the last 2 drafts, seems like they could have gotten something for him

might not be PTP (pat-type-player) by BB standards . but he did step up nicely last season.

there should be plenty of competition esp. from NFC so it would be a surprise

a pity his cap figures were so high Pats couldn't cash in one of the 7th rounders..

Kendricks is a really good example of how athleticism does not equal coverage ability. He’s like the upgraded version of Roberts, an undersized run defender who is athletic enough to cover NFL running backs but somehow just can’t. The Eagles routinely took him off the field in passing situations, which means he was on the sideline for 58% of the Eagles’ Super Bowl defensive snaps.

That said, at least he doesn’t come with that absurd salary anymore. He could make sense on a contract that better fits his role as a two-down linebacker.

Could be an interesting signing, but the pats are in big nickel a lot these days with 2 LBs. I see HT and Van Noy on most snaps.

See, @DW Toys ? We might not even have to trade for him.

I loved watching Kendricks in college. He was a big pre-draft crush. I'd love to see him here, even if he's not a coverage guy. Extremely explosive.

I don't see HT on most snaps, and that's the problem we have. The man is incapable of staying healthy.

It'll be interesting to see if after winning the SB last season if he's interested at a chance at another ring or a pay day.

Good to see that we still have a healthy obsession with Michael Kendrycks. At least we’ve moved past Connor Barwin and Adam Seward.

I think he’d be one of those luxury pieces to have, much like an improved 4th safety, but ultimately will cost too much to make any sense—especially with Langi coming back + the two draft picks. Then again, we saw Bill go out and sign David Harris last year, so anything is possible.
