Lowe is the teams starting LT and on a rookie contract. No way he gets pushed off the depth chart anytime soon.

It’s not his contact or being a supposed starter by default that will get him cut it’s the fact that he can’t play.

You are assuming there are starters available on waiver wire.

We need to roll with lowe and hope that he progresses to be a mid range starter like elumenour.

I think we'd all love to find a starting LT on the waivers. And then if we can do that also find a back up LT and move Lowe to the PS. But let's be realistic if we can just find anyone that can play on the left side wether they beat out Lowe or not what we really need to avoid is a situation like last sunday where we have to play several guys out of position just to field a unit.

No I am not. I am assuming capable players will be in the waiver wire. Starter is a few levels above Lowe, not one.

I’d rather move people around than play Lowe.

You must’ve missed the game Sunday. He’s not the greatest but at least he can line up properly. I’d rather keep him and pick someone else up and if they can beat him out then so be it. But so far, no one on this team has done that.

That says more about “no one on this team” than Lowe. He was only playing because everyone else failed and he was failing too before getting hurt.

I too want to cut Lowe.

However, we need two LT's.

I cannot assume that we will find two. That's why Lowe is still on the 53.

I’m saying it shouldn’t be very hard to find 2 better than him.

I agree, but there are no guarantees, which is why Lowe is still on the roster. If we find two, Lowe might even be moved to IR.

With Sow in a walking boot the likelihood is that things are not going to improve unless M Jackson can shine. Onwenu needs to go back to guard and we NEED D Andrews desperately.

BoneyT, Hasty, Leverett, Eukalele, Pharma, Ellis & Pettus need to be added to this list.

Nearly a full quarter of the members of this 53 not only suck, but really, REALLY suck.
Not to mention the additional members currently replacing injured players who are actually good.

Four of the eight have gotten the call.

STILL AVOIDING PHONE CALLS
Boutte
Lowe (probably safe unless the team makes an unlikely serious move)

elumenour was available as a free agent

No every free agent stunk and was overpriced and we were the only smart team who knew not spending money on players is how you get better

Austin’s safe. He played well last year and is a good developmental prospect.
Plus he may be our cb3 right now.

While very likely true, Austin didn’t have a good pre-season either, at all.

Some people are gonna be shocked at how bad this defense has become.
