If one team makes an accusation of another team and those accusations are proven to be wrong then the team that made the accusation should forfeit a 3rd round draft pick.

This would make a team like the Colts think twice before falsely accusing the Patriots. This caused a huge sh*t storm that went out of control, wasted the teams time and money, wasted the leagues time and money, and wasted a lot of our time. The Patriots will be found innocent but there was still a ton of damage done to the brand. If you are gonna make a serious accusation you should be 100% sure or face consequences yourself.

It would never work. It would be nearly impossible to prove. Like in this case, the balls were found to be under-inflated technically, which is all the Colts or Ravens pointed out. No way to prove they did it maliciously, as much as we might suspect it.
