I must say, watching Tom Brady tear defenses apart and running the ball down the opponents throat... there is nothing like watching it in real person. I was surprised how many Pats fans were at the game. I was surrounded by multiple Pats fans were I sat and I actually sat near a Pat fan who knew his ****, and even followed players on twitter (but his wife was a Bucs fan, they were very cool

THE BAD
--after the game we waited for the players to come out and get on the bus, hoping maybe they would sign some autographs or take pics(especially since its an away game and many people had traveled far to see them, or rarely get to see them because they live in Florida

1.Meriweather came out , but he had a lot of family and friends come see him, so he wasn't really interested in taking pics, just wanted to see his family which was cool( it pissed me off cause one the dumbass fans(someones wife) kept calling him MAYWEATHER

2. Mallet was straight up rude and walked fast by fans quick to get on the bus, and he did this twice

3. Welker was the rudest. YElling at fans looking for a few of his friends, then ignored everyone while he said 5 yards from the fans and didnt take a pic or sign one autograph( he definitely was the most disrespectful )

4. Hernadez was nice enough to stop and sign a few autographs, he was very cool

5. WILFORK, haha the best, everyone else needed security to see there family outside the gates.. he pushed security out the way and went into the crowd and saw him family and took a few pics and autographs
--- i think chung might of signed a few and d mac said whats up to the fans and we told him to get those Jets this year

----ocho and tom never came to the area .. **but I did meet Ochos GF off basketball wives while waiting in line for food for 30 mins and got a pic

edit: and BB kissed his wife when before he got on the bus and everyone cheered, haha

Bummer about Mallett and surprised at Welker as I've always viewed him as fan friendly.

Sounds like you had a good time though.

yea I had a great time... Iuno what was wrong with Mallet.. i figured he was mad cause he thought he played bad... and Welker... straight up douche (maybe he is mad b/c of no contract extension)

Its very easy to ...misconstrue there acts as rude .... sometimes ..people are mentally and physically exhausted. They could be thinking of something that might be more important...at that point in time...

so give them a break...

Why are they douches for not wanting to cater to some random peoples' requests?

As someone who could not care less about getting anyone's autograph I sympathize with the players. You just got off a truly grueling day's work, it's late and maybe you're frustrated looking for someone you've arranged to meet and some fan whom you've never met wants your attention.

The thread topic had one brief trite observation about the game and instead was a whine about autographs.

Exactly..........

Mallet........ was probably in a pretty crappy mood. After all, he took a big step back and I'm sure his confidence was shaken. Probably the last thing he was thinking about was about was a bunch of random douches putting pens and paper under his nose.

Welker too.... It's after a game.... he may just not wanna be at your beck and call. If you caught him at the corner stop and shop, and weren't being a doink. I'm sure he'd humor you and sign an autograph and pose for a picture.

You paid for the game. Enjoy the fact that you got to watch the team in good form, and ignore that fact that a few players didn't want to kiss your babies at the end of the day.

I could care less about autograph, I was cool with getting pictures from a distances.. Lots of the parents or older people let the many of the little kids get up front and lots of them sat there begging or an autograph, it was sad that many didnt get any... plus if they were smart like ocho or brady, they would of just not come near that area of the front of the bus where many of the kids were so kids wouldnt sit them in beg.., un like welker , who sat there ignoring the kids while he sat there playing on his phone

edit: i dont mean to call welker a douche, he is def. my fav. wide receiver , just thought he could of handled the situation a lot better ... especially when he started yelling at people... maybe it was just a bad day for him.

either way I had a great game.. just hope many kids felt the same way

EDIT: Pics on Page 2

Are you kidding me... it takes 2 seconds to sign 2 lil kids hats or football, exactly what Hernadez did, and he didnt seem to be exhausted and just wanted to get on the bus and eat his pizza hut box. Or like many did to , get on at the back of the entrance bus so you wouldnt have to be put in that situations with the kids, not sit there and play on your phone.... I understand these players just played, like I said in my other thread, my friend plays for the bucs, they just got their ass kicked, and they signed way more autographs or took pics then the bucs with the kids... I just felt a few of the players might be a lil stuck up after my first expression... especially after hearing Spikes sat around practice after CAMP and signed everyones

Huh, sorry to hear that about Welker. If he had blown off my kid, I probably wouldn't feel too charitable. Hopefully it was just a bad day.

Everyone I know who has been in a potential interaction situation like that with Welker has described the experience exactly like you did.

Maybe the dude is just a ****. Wouldnt be the first athlete.

I've met Vince twice, and both times he was SUPER fan friendly. The kind of guy who after a few short minutes makes you feel like you have known him for 10yrs. Vince rocks.

My nephew has spent time in Boston entertainment venues with lots of pro players including Wes Welker. No problemo. Says Welker is the most ripped pro athlete he's ever seen. More ripped than even his uncle.

The post-game stuff is nonsense. It's their time. I know after I get off work getting pounded by 260 lb linebackers and drilled in the back by rock-hard 190 lb defensive backs, I am in no mood to meet strangers and sign autographs.

Just curious, are you a football player or a porn star?

haha, Vince was the man, I laughed how he just opened the gates himself and was like

lmao.. this is the dumbest **** I'v ever heard.. I have many friends who are pro athletes... and just b/c you play sports and are tired or exhausted doesn't make you mad after the end of a winning game.... most are excited, especially if you win and had a great game... lmao at using getting tackled by 260lb lb excuse

Met Vince once and I'd say the same. Great great guy.

Don't read the below if you don't want to be reminded of SB42.
