Hi I am a newcomer here on patsfans.com and am self-proclimed Pa's Biggest Patriots Fan since 1978! Enough about me...Anyways I was wondering what you think the most important game of the year is BEFORE the season begins...Indianapolis,Cincinnati,Denver..or the last game between us and Miami..I know it depends on record at the time but just curious as to what you guys think?

the most important game we play this year is this weeks game. Next weeks game will be the most important game of the year next week. It is very unwise to look past this week. The Bills are the best team in football this week and we need to bring our A game.

I think Denver. We will win weeks one and two handily, I believe. If we can make a statement against Denver - that we can dominate the good teams, too - that will make for some good momentum headed into week 4. If we can beat Denver AND Cincy (doubtful IMO), this will be a 13-win team.

I have no idea what the most important game is going to be in terms of the playoff picture, but as a fan the biggest game is definitely Denver. We need redemption after that miserable self-destruction. It's also the biggest game for me personally because it is going to be my first Pat's game. By dad is bringing me as a birthday present and I am so excited.

all 16 games, no doubt

but, i'm looking forward when we will play Den, Cin and Ind + the 2 games against Mia

I'm an old guy and a lot of the times you younger guys have a hard time understanding my takes...the most important game of the year in the NFL for the New England Patriots is ANY game against the Miami Dolphins....you can hate who you want or dislike this team or that, but us old guys DESPISE the MIami Dolphins with a vengeance...forever

You younger guys don't have to understand...in fact that's a good thing....but us geezers HATE the Fish..for good reason.

I think weeks 3 4 and 5 (Denver, Cincy, and Miami) will give us a good measure of how good this team really is. Denver is the more important one and has to be a "statement game".

I think the Denever game could be controversial...it usually is...but if our D line is intact we can squash the snake...he's NOT a winner.

Palmer is, i my estimation, the eemerging neo-Elway...they can just torure us on out route and pound Rudy. Their D is average though

MIami we have to handle..take Brown away, hold McMichael down and frustrat Chanbers. Culpepper doesn't like disguies cover two's. Watson can bury ANYBODY in the Miami secondary..what Troy and the rest of the crossing recivers can pull make this a game that Pats can control.Ronnie Brown will hav etrouble with Bruschi, Seau and Rodney...I lke the matchup...but they have talent..especially Chambers on samuel

The next one.

You read my mind. Its not about last week or two weeks from now, its about the game on Sunday. It could be vs a team like Buffalo or a team like Indy, its all 1/16th of the year and every game counts.

From a playoff seeding standpoint, Denver may be the most important game beacuse IMO the Broncos are the most likely AFC team to challenge us for the top seed. Indy and Cincy are both very important games as well because they'll be fighting for playoff position AND convincing wins against either will prove that our defense is for real.

Denver. The Pats must do whatever possible to avoid a trip to Denver in January.
