Eh...Tyquan has potential but he misses so much time it's hard for him to develop. Staying skeptical.

I think Gonzo can turn it on whenever he feels like it…the coaches probably know that too. I’m not worried about his performance so far.

Is it just me or do the Pats have an abundance of "could be pretty good" CBs? Alex Austin, Marco Wilson, Isaiah Bolden, Marcellas Dial, even Azizi Hearn has been making a lot of noise. And Marcus Jones has not yet really hit his potential yet either. Shaun Wade is also there who's not bad. Seems like Gonzo and JJones are good starters but then they have a big bench of guys who might also be starter level.

It'd be nice if Austin or one of these other guys could step up into a more permanent CB2 level and allow Jones to flex in/out of CB or FS as the matchups dictate.

Hearn's name has really trended. All the best tweets in camp end with "Azizi Hearn trailed in coverage."

Definitely a lot of depth at CB and some interesting competition for the last few spots.

I think Gonzo, JJ, and Marcus before he got banged up were the clear top 3.

My opinion is that Marco Wilson is probably the 4th but I think a bunch of them have looked good too.

Why why why?? if this keeps up V Lowe @ LT I'm in favor of them sitting Maye. I don't get the love affair with Lowe @ LT you go Jacoby Biscuit you go boy take one for the Team poor guy.
At LT they tried Chucks and switched to Wallace after a few days. Then after Wallace got a few days they switched to Lowe. Presumably they didn't like what they saw out of Chucks and Wallace. Then while Lowe was getting his chance the offense had a few decent practices (chicken or egg) it would seem like based on this they've left Lowe at LT for now.

I wouldn't call it a love affair I mean they went to him 3rd and at least real early on Lowe performed the best of the 3. Maybe it's by default or maybe he's just getting better after a rookie year that wasn't great but did offer him valuable experience.

When Jalen Reagor is cooking guys in camp, I tend to think it’s largely fake lol.

I'm also not worried about Gonzo. He's probably still going 75% as he gets his twitch back in NFL shape.
I don't want guys cutting on dimes the first 2 weeks of camp. That's when you get ligament injuries.

The correct verb for this situation is "fires". He doesn't "throw" anything even tantrums....he just flips out.

Thanks, I'll be here all week - please tip the moderator staff and drive safely.
Scottie quit it.

How did Gonzalez go from locking down AJ Brown and Tyreek Hill to struggling against every WR on our roster.

Could it be the extra weight?

You know he's coming off surgery for an shoulder tear?

It will take him the entire season to get back to 100%. Most of it is mental.

It's his pass Blocking I'm most worried about it's non existent we'll be down to Zappe on the dept chart if Lowe is a Starter.
Told you you’d want Zappe. They will carry four QBs, or three if Milton goes PS (no one will claim him).

Well, guess the hoped for "maybe the OL is good at one aspect like the run game..." and "the defense is super advantaged until the pads come on" memes died a quick and painful death....

OL HELP WANTED! Your QB and RB sons lives are at stake!
We have to remember they're practicing against the #1 defense in the NFL last year in rush yards per carry. Also the second team offensive line isn't very good.

If they stay healthy, the first team offensive line should be decent at opening running holes and the offense might be good in the short passing game. With poor or average tackles they won't be able to block for long, so deep passing plays will only happen as a result of play action or against poor defenses.

Maybe a tackle will shake loose after cutdowns. Word of advice to Wolf, stop looking at teams with bad offensive lines... look at teams with the best ones. There's more a chance of a good one shaking loose from a team that has options.

This is true, but I think it's more important they're giving him a ton of reps and early. He also made some good plays today, so perhaps he's improving.

We want him to improve, he'd be a big asset when they play teams like the Bengals that have some big WR's. Hearn is the next biggest CB on the roster after Bolden, but he actually has far superior mobility. We could use a big athletic physical CB.
