yeah, but how many times have we seen teams that don't deserve to be there make it? Atlanta can beat seattle at home and then go on the road and beat Dallas (not easy, but if Dak has a bad day, then Atlanta could take advantage). And boom, they're in.

Could be. I doubt it. I mean, I'm happy if they make it and we make it. Cos that D is bad. They conceded 406 points compared to 250 by the Pats. And our D didn't even pass the eye test for a long time. Even stevie wonder can tell the Falcons D is bad.

Yeah, Atlanta is flying under the radar, but so are the Pats in a way. In an effort to try and diversify coverage (Patriots fatigue), the media has kinda neglected the Pats a bit, especially since they are a 14-2 team with FB and a legit defense.
i beg to differ. NFLN just devoted a whole walkthrough if anyone can beat the patriots taking team by team. Everyone just pencilled in the pats in the SB which the superstitious part of me irked.

I wouldn't be so sure that Seattle beats the Lions. Earl Thomas is the key to that defense and he's out. Sherman is acting like a diva and having a bad year, Wilson is still banged up with a bad O-Line. Lions will score 20-24 points, this will be a very tight game
Lions, losers of 4 in a row who couldnt win a home game to win the division now on the road on a night game in one of the toughest places to play. I dont see it being close , but who knows these days.

If you look at the teams since Brady (final 12 games) came back the

Pats average 30.0 PPG, Falcons 32.3 PPG offense
Pats average 15.75 PPG, Falcons 23.5 PPG defense

Whats with Ryan's teeth in that picture of him face to face with Brady? Very scary looking, almost zombie like.

Yeah, can't say I like that..."disrespect" is a better card to play than "ignore the noize".

What is the stat minus gronk ?

Falcons dont have the D to win it all. The best team wins the Super Bowl not the best offense. We as Patriots fans know that more than most.

Edit: Correction- most of the time the best TEAM wins.. 2007 aside. And sometimes favorable match ups can get you to the dance.

Which year was it that Indy had the worst run defense in the league.. and they got 2 tomato cans in the playoffs and made it to the Super Bowl.
2006 Colts

2006 Colts

My initial thought was the 2006 Colts but I thought we didn't play the Colts that year, when there defense really improved in the playoffs. But I guess we did.. who was the Colts safety... aahhh Bob Sanders.. Bob Sanders I think was like the Gronk on defense for the Colts. He totally changed there defense when he was on the field.

He did, the next year the Colts had the #1 defense in The NFL so they were probably a little better than the people expected.

I think it's either Green Bay/Pats or Green Bay/Steelers. Maybe Dallas can squeak in, but the playoffs are a different animal and I'm not sold on the rookies. As for the Steelers, I think this Pats team can beat them, but they are the biggest AFC threat.

It'll be one of Dallas/Atlanta/Green Bay/NY Giants repping the NFC.

Atlanta if all goes according to form, should get an injury-riddled Seattle side on the divisional round while Dallas gets Green Bay or NY Giants.

I hope that either them or Dallas makes it. I don't want the Giants or Packers if we get there. It's not that I don't think we can beat them, we match up well with both, I just hate the thought of losing to one of them.

Losing to Rodgers would make me sick to my stomach.

Falcons have been flying under the radar. All you hear about is dallas, green bay or the giants. Meanwhile they somehow sneakily got a first round bye.

I could see dallas going one and done.
My optimistic side: Falcons, Packers: Brady will destroy that D, Giants: with good D, but Manning Lol.

My pesimist side: First have to beat Chiefs or Steelers(dont know why but have strange Feeling that dolphins might do something)
1st tier threat:
Packers: Rodgers is like wilson, they have great oline, nobody talks about them, because everyone praising Rodgers. Their D can have a day if injured CBs come back.
Giants: Probably the best defense at the moment and Manning could threw some passes to helmets.

2tier threat:
Falcons, Dallas, Seattle: I dont know why but they dont see as big threat even on my pesimist side, but a ga me is a game and some team could have a bad day so everything is possible.
Dallas: Patricia some schemes that will confuse Dak , and Dak proves that i am wrong on him.
Falcons: Falcons are for real on offense and their D holds.
Seattle: Prosise back.

Can you imagine the talk in the media if the Patriots defense was giving up 30+ points per game in the playoffs? I think the Falcons are one and done.

Lions, losers of 4 in a row who couldnt win a home game to win the division now on the road on a night game in one of the toughest places to play. I dont see it being close , but who knows these days.
I so agree with you. The Lions will get blowed out and embarrassed in Seattle
