Bump - at 2:30 tomorrow afternoon and online live

Will Goodell be listening??

Bumping as it starts in 5 min.

The audio is dodging out a bit for me, but thankfully it's stuff Prof. Leonard has already gone over on youtube.

The sound is breaking up. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?

Of all places on Earth, MIT is the last one that should have technical problems.
They might have misjudged the servers.

They might have misjudged the servers.
Regardless of what they judged, they have the horsepower there to do almost anything. I remember being part of a project in 2002? when they were running 10 gig to the desktop in the new dorms being built.

Stream is back and going over the curve fitting that Exponent neglected to include parameters f0r

Interesting. McCann feels that Deflategate actually won't have much effect on the future CBA negotiations.

He feels that's the case because only about 1% of players end up facing the player disciplinary process and thus the union will rather spend its bargaining capital on things that affect all/far more players, like raising minimum salaries, etc.

A couple corrections on Leonard: I think he meant to say the balls would have had an actual psi of 12.17 if they read 12.5 on the logo gauge, not 11.17; and while the Exponent report wasn't peer reviewed, they do claim Dr. Daniel Marlow as oversight.

On the subject of can you deflate all the footballs in a bathroom in under 100 seconds, I'm surprised it isn't brought up that the game was delayed like 20 minutes because the previous playoff game went into overtime. If someone told me I had 20 minutes before the game started I'd probably go for a bathroom break.

The draft picks are as good as gone

Right before the camera turned off Leonard was talking about the transient analysis again and getting a t of 500 seconds, about the time it'd take the ball to reach equilibrium pressure.

Sad but true
Even worse, player health is tertiary at best to player wealth

I also want to say what a great job Leonard did with reverse engineering the transient curves, clearly showing what was wrong with them. And thanks to Michael McCann for holding the class and putting some power points online and putting up this livestream, which was very smooth outside of the audio stuttering during Leonard's presentation.

I've been itching for a chance to see what it was like inside that classroom and this afternoon was a semester long review. I hope it sparks the next generation of sports lawyers through the University of New Hampshire, because I don't see the future of sports becoming less litigious.
