I really like this guy's content. On the other hand, he makes me feel really good about my abilities as a teacher.

I wish Kessler grilled the exponent guys more about this in the appeal. The issue of time and wetness factors were raised but not like that. Those time constants for the logo gage in figure 26 simulate wet footballs warming up faster than dry footballs. It's another mistake. It's worse than the measurements they made on the length and bend of the gages where they offset the shorter gage to make it seem longer.

I watched both in their entirety last night...he's spastic but clearly enthusiastic which is nice to see. Regardless, I feel bad for the students trying to learn when they're given that kind of tangent-laden lecture on a subject most of them know nothing about.

That said, my biggest issue with his analysis is averaging the readouts. I know he's only provided a one hour lecture to get his numbers across, but averaging the two gauges is flat out wrong. Some of the other analyses have gotten to his conclusion without averaging the gauges, which is flat-out lazy to me. Clearly, Anderson used one gauge pre-game, it only makes sense that one of the two gauges is 'right' as a halftime comparison. And that said, it's easy to prove that the non-logo (I think that's the one...whichever Anderson said he used) was the pre-game gauge, and thus the Pats halftime measurements were perfectly in line with expectations.

Anyway, he does good work and the info about figures 22/24 was great work, I just wish he didn't muddle the conversation with the average gauge number.
