A couple corrections on Leonard: I think he meant to say the balls would have had an actual psi of 12.17 if they read 12.5 on the logo gauge, not 11.17; and while the Exponent report wasn't peer reviewed, they do claim Dr. Daniel Marlow as oversight.
On the subject of can you deflate all the footballs in a bathroom in under 100 seconds, I'm surprised it isn't brought up that the game was delayed like 20 minutes because the previous playoff game went into overtime. If someone told me I had 20 minutes before the game started I'd probably go for a bathroom break.
