He’s been good against TE’s and the Bengals went pretty TE heavy with some WR’s out with injury.Hawkins played a good game. Not exactly how I envisioned his use but the Pats also were much more advanced in their deployment than I expected them to be under Mayo and Covington. They are a lot closer to Belichick's level than I anticipated. Let's see if they are at his level when it comes to adjusting for your opponent week-over-week, in-game adjustments, taking away what the other team does best, etc.
Hawkins allows Dugg and Pepper to roam, which is good for team speed. The Pats are also light at WLB with Mapu and Takitaki injured.
