I'm still focused on John Hannah. I know that a lot of us don’t remember him as he played over 20 years ago but the man was a beast. McGinest was not even the Pats best 1st round pick ever. Hannah was
Totally agree Hannah...hands down...

According to this the McGinest was the Best ever draft pick for the Pats

“McGinest shows up here because of a combination of performance and longevity. Twelve years with a team is a whole lot, especially when you play up to McGinest's caliber. Will Tom Brady and Richard Seymour surpass him? Sure, in about two or three seasons of similarly-caliber play to how they're performing now. Want to talk about clutch, though? McGinest's fourth-down standing-up of Edgerrin James in 2003, a play he made by trusting his instinctual read, is as clutch a move as anything Tom Brady's done.”

This is brutal. McGinest was a quality player but he would not even be in my top 6 overall for Pats Picks

John Hannah: 1973- 1st round, 4th overall:
Andre Tippett: 1982 – 2nd round, 41st overall:
Ty Law: 1995 – 1st round, 24th overall
Tedy Bruschi: 1996 – 3rd round, 86th overall
Curtis Martin: 1995 – 3rd round, 74th overall
Mike Haynes: 1976 – 1st round, 5th overall

Also, Robert Edwards as our biggest bust??? The guy had a freak injury. A bust is Eugene Chung, Chris Canty, Reggie Duppard and Ken Sims (1st overall selection)

robert edwards gave us one good yr, def others that didnt even do that

as for willie :rocker:
hey, at least the author said it was cuz of his longevity

I just always like to remind people regarding the Edwards saga... he fell off our radar, but he did come back finally to play in Miami for a bit, then has gone to Canada and totally torched the CFL. He led the league last year in TDs and was either the leader or among the leaders in rushing yards. He's with the Montreal Alouettes, and gives me a good reason to actually follow the Canadian game this year.

(By the way, that means he beat out Ricky Williams, Onterrio Smith, and every other drug amnesty seeker up there.)
