Pats couldn't stop a wet paper bag on 3rd down. Linebackers are like slugs out there, they don't even contest short passes. Just give em 5 to 8 yards a pop. That’s how most of these games with tons of rushing yards go. That 2019 Titans playoff game is the perfect example. Once Tannehill took over as a starter, that offense scored at least 3 TDs in 10 straight games before the Patriots finally held them to 14 points. That sounds like a brilliant defensive performance to me, regardless of how many yards they rushed for.

There are a few truly bad games in there (2019 Ravens and 2020 49ers), but it’s hilarious that all of these games with 13, 14, sometimes 20 points allowed are being used to argue for replacing the entire front 7.

It's on both; but Yes the choke-ass offense during the 1st half (plus coaching & Special Olympics Teams) turned an unlikely win into a certain loss.

Yeah, "outdated" and "incompatible" to the tune of a 10-7 WINNING season and PLAYOFF berth with a ROOKIE quarterback and totally REVAMPED roster from a year ago. BB schemes to his personnel and what the opponent presents. The Pats were down some key guys on defense today, apparently you didn't notice. If he had the horses to play press man coverage all over the field he'd do it more often, if playing "contain" offers the best chance to win, he does that. There are holes in this defense without question, it's a work in progress that hopefully gets reinforced next year. But suggesting BB's coaching philosophy is "outdated" makes no sense.

Do you pay attention to how other teams play defense in this era of rule changes favoring passing offense? Do you understand the cyclical nature of the NFL and how the Patriots continue to defy it with ONE sub-.500 season in the last 20 years? You don't deserve to be banned for your nonsense, you deserve to go straight to bed in your footie pajamas. No cookie and milk for you!

Am I wrong here? Every time we’ve needed a stop late in the game to get the ball back, this defense chokes. Like clockwork. It’s pretty ridiculous and I’m not sure exactly why that is. We used to be really sound in these situations.

No you are 100% right….especially run D ….this run D ranks right up there with some of the WORST run D in club’s history!!! Horrible coaching….no execution…..piss poor tackling. Secondary sucked as well….First …..BB must FIRE JUNIOR!!! Let’s get a well established DC back in the fold again….and puhleese NOT PATRICIA!!! We will need almost a full D rebuild…..majority of guys are old and slow. Hightower, Collins, Mccourty…..thanks for everything but time to go…
This was an absolute debacle this year and we have a long road ahead…..not sure BB at his age wants to go thru another total rebuild….we shall see
