Very impressive well oiled coaching machine ...
I thought these men deserved a thread of their own.
Other than Matt ... these men get very little media attention - by Bill's design of course.

Matt Patricia - 4th year as DC.
Josh Boyer - 4th year as CB coach.
Patrick Graham - 2nd year as LB coach.
Brian Flores - 4th year as Safeties coach.
Brendan Daly - 1st year as DL coach

They have been really good. I wonder about the Denver game. Their run fits were horrible in that game. I wonder how much of a factor that slippery field really was, because the D was on skates a bit. But, overall I think this D and the coaching staff on that side have been a revelation.

Just out of Curiosity I Volined (Googled) some of their background.

Josh Boyer - 4th year as CB coach.

"He was the individual primarily responsible for giving Malcolm Butler a second workout with the team, eventually leading to his spot on the roster. Without this man, the Malcolm Butler interception would have never happened."

Also coached at Kent State in the early 2000's. (Wonder if there is an Edelman connection)

Patrick Graham - 2nd year as LB coach.

Charlie Weis connection.

"After two seasons at Wagner, Graham moved to the University of Richmond, where he was a defensive line coach in 2004 and then a tight ends coach in 2005 and 2006. In 2007, he was a defensive graduate assistant under head coach Charlie Weis at theUniversity of Notre Dame. "

Brian Flores - 4th year as Safeties coach.

Don't see any professional connections. Looks like a guy who worked his way up through the ranks.

"After attending Poly Prep Country Day Schoolin Brooklyn, New York, Flores played football at Boston College as a linebacker from 1999 through 2003. In2004, Flores joined the Patriots as a scouting assistant. He then became a pro scout in 2006 before moving to the coaching staff as a special teams coaching assistant in 2008. His title was changed to assistant coach offense/special teams in 2010. He was named defensive assistant in 2011. In 2012, he was named safeties coach."

Brendan Daly - 1st year as DL coach

NFL Coaching experience with the Rams and Vikings. Don't see that he ever played college level football.

"Brendan Daly (born September 10, 1975) is a Assistant Coach for the New England Patriots. Daly was thedefensive line coach of the St. Louis Rams of the National Football League from 2009 to 2011 after spending three seasons as the assistant defensive line coach for the Minnesota Vikings.

Daly worked with the Villanova defensive linemen in 2005. He spent the 1999 season working with the TEs. The 1999 Wildcats went 7–4 and Talley posted his 100th victory at the school. Daly coached tight ends at Division I-AA Illinois State in 2004 when the Redbirds led the Gateway Conference in passing offense.

His longest tenure came during a three-season stint from 2001–03 at Oklahoma State University where he worked on both sides of the ball and in strength and conditioning with the Cowboys program. "

Graham seems like the next in line as he called the defense in the last preseason game. He's been with the Patriots a while. I think you may be wrong on Daly, almost certain he was with us last year.

Definitely expecting one or two to leave soon to be DC elsewhere , perhaps Graham this off-season. Wonder if Steve Belichick will be ready to be a position coach soon.

Let me be the first to congratulate our rocket scientist Matt Patricia on his moonlighting job successfully landing the Falcon 9 1st stage back at Cape Canaveral after boosting stage 2 and its multi-satellite payload into Earth orbit tonight. Don't let Bill find out but since he's not on MyFace, we're good.

I only listed them in their current duties .......

Chandler Jones was talking about Daly today, on Dale & Holley. He was singing the highest praises, and calling him a guru.
