In the washed up RB sweepstakes, I'd rather come out with Portis than Barber, and by a pretty big margin.

Portis would come with a price tag that would choke a horse.

Barber is just another example of what this year's FA is going to bring. As much as we all think we HAVE to draft this guy or that guy, pretty much all our needs can be filled by one of the 500 available FA when that market opens up.

That doesn't mean I won't be throwing pillows at the screen if BB picks an offensive player at 17 or trades out of the first round so we can accumulate the most 2nd and 3rd round picks in NFL history. But it does recognize that the draft isn't the ONLY way to build a team THIS year. Remember when you sign a FA you can evaluate his potential a lot easier than looking at college film.
