Hey! We're getting there! Of course, without help from aluminum gonads... Now, suppose you don't like that explanation. What tben?
Then the tar and feathering continues. Nobody is asking him to be fired so your borderline loaded question doesn’t make sense. This is a discussion board. We discuss the New England Patriots on it. The GOAT HC made the worst decision of his career, strategically weakened what had been the strength of the defense, and there’s not been an explanation yet that makes a lick of sense.

Thanks, Dad, I understand the error of my ways. Off to bed for me without supper.

Almost there stay on topic.
12 to go.

Tom Brady’s number is 12. He’s pretty good.

I hate this thread

It is what it is, let it go.

On to 2018 and the quest for #6.

Still waiting for an answer to the question, Honey-pie!

“Honey Pie”. My least favorite “Beatles “ track without doubt. A reminder that even musical geniuses can turn out musical garbage especially when hubris gets in the way of good judgement. “So it’s true, pride comes before a fall. I’m telling you so that you won’t lose all. I’m a loser”. Sing it Brother John!

We will never get a good explanation because there never was one in the first place. Well, not a “best interest of the team “ or “for football reasons” explanation anyway.

It’s the Coach cultists who refuse to accept the facts. 4 months that have passed since SB 52. No credible, sourced reports have come out citing events or actions by Butler that demanded he be benched for the game. Just consider how unusual that is in our social-media times.

In the meantime, a NFL team general managed by a former Patriot executive and coached by a former player signed Butler to a 5 year, $61m with $30 m guaranteed contract. Apparently, Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel weren’t too concerned with Butler’s ability to play or any character concerns that lead their former boss to bench him in the SB.

Drop your blind faith folks. No mortal man deserves it. Benching Butler was just a giant F-you to Bob Kraft for stepping on his precious authority and control of football operations by stopping his grand QB succession plan. Butler was just a pawn in Belichick ‘s vengeful control war with Kraft and Brady.

5.

If only McNabb played in that game. He would’ve been too busy puking at the end.

I'm not sure if you are wrong or right, because I don't possess inside info. on this topic. But don't you think that BB could have chosen a more obvious way to say "F--- You" to Kraft. Not to mention there is no evidence to suggest that he would intentionally throw away a SB out of spite or revenge. He seems to respect the game too much to throw away a championship. If anything (IMHO) it seems that his respect for the "right way" to play the game and run a team is the reason why he benched Butler. Butler wasn't as focused as his replacement that week and he trusted his process. I just don't see the logic in the "spite" theory.

Good luck playing for the Titans Malcolm Butler ...

you still have many fans here pulling for you.

You better eat that supper so those back pills don’t make you nauseated, pops.

Bugger off, Dad. OK, I've been a bad boy. But, I'm hungry...

Well, I'm in Belichick's age range and younger than T-rump (hero to many here) and I ran a half marathon earlier this spring, so I guess I'm ok. How about you?
