Like I get after the Welker stuff that you guys want to come up with deep state conspiracy theories but what we actually know is that Butler was sick.

It could be as simple as that. They might be planning on giving him snaps in the 2nd half, we'll see.

That would make sense, but what makes me not so sure about that was his emotion he showed before the game.

He was or might have been late getting to Minnesota after staying back in Boston.
I thought that was excused though.... but I admit I don't really know....

His breakdown during America the Beautiful tells me he had just found out.... but I admit I don't really know.....

If I was sick and lost my starting spot in the Super Bowl about it you bet your ass I'd be crying.

Must not be 100%. Would be insane not to. If this is a late to the meeting BB message then ************.

If stamina /health is an issue couldnt he at least be out there for 3rd downs?

if its something else we'll hear about it. butler doesnt seem like the type to keep his mouth shut if he feels like he got slighted in the superbowl.

Doesn’t make sense. If he was injured or too weak from the flu he wouldn’t be playing special teams. I think it’s some weird Belichick thing again.

If the reports are true, wtf.. Benching Butler for a quarter might make sense. Benching him for the whole game cost the Pats the superbowl. Used to be IBBIT. Not so sure anymore. Stupid ****ing decision if the reports are true.

This and what we got in the JG trade were not "in the best interest of the team period.

It wasn’t the flu. I feel sorry for anyone that believes that. He did something to chap BB’s ass the wrong way and the result was the worst defensive performance I’ve ever seen out of this team in a postseason game.

That's all well and good, but a quarter or maybe even a half would have been more than sufficient. The Eagles wouldn't have scored 41 if Butler played.

Un-fn-believable. Patrick Chung covering Nelson Agholor? Who didn't see a big gain happening on that one. Richards getting playing time over Butler? Rowe getting abused by Jeffrey. Why wasn't Gilmore on him from the start? This was the worst coached game of Belichick's career. Doug Pederson coached circles around Belichick tonight.

I agree. The biggest problem on that side of the ball was tackling. Butler is one of the best tacklers in the secondary. It's going to be interesting to see what he did to get benched. If that was a game plan decision because BB and that fat slob Patricia believed it was their best chance to win, then they should have made that correction at halftime.

Oh absolutely. Belichick got the **** beat out of him tonight when it came to coaching.

Butler seemed to me to spend the entire evening hovering around the coaches as if to say "hey I'm here if you want me to go in, coach!!" Kind of like what I did in high school football. Only I sucked, so I don't blame them for ignoring me.
