Madden Cover 27

This has to be the worst cover in the history of Madden covers (Peyton Hillis was a fan vote)...



Full disclosure... I had money that it would not be Caleb Williams.

20 bucks. I also had money on 4 others that were way more deserving...

1. Miles Garrett
2. JSN
3. Drake Maye (i might be a homer)
4. Stafford

These were all fine educated bets.

When the cover "leaked" the other day(for the deluxe edition)... I couldnt believe it.
Thats when I doubled down and put 10 more on Williams not being on the cover.


No way I could believe that EA was going to put a dude that had finger nail paint on THE COVERS. I thought for sure that was fake.

Nope...

I did forget that EA was purchased by a bunch of Saudi investors... so they probably pushed this lame crap.

The game itself hasnt changed in a few years... and is basically a cut and paste for 26, 25, etc.... the least they could do is keep the fans happy! No one like Williams but bears fans.

Are these idiots going to give Williams a 99 rating?

Madden 97 on PlayStation was an awesome game during that time. I don’t think there’s a Madden game that has come close in it’s presentation since.

Madden’s peak was the early 2000’s and when it first went to PS3/XBox360. It’s gone downhill for quite some time now.

The Peyton Hillis year was a real low point for the Madden Franchise.

I agree about madden... I was a madden kid in the 90s... and then switched to 2k and it was a superior product. Then it got shut down.

The fact that Madden now has a monopoly is garbage...

This cover is garbage...

The bears are garbage...

Did I mention this was garbage...

Its a blatant rip off...

Im not letting the kids get this game until 28 comes out... its not like the damn game play will be any different than 26.

I dont think they have any competition. EA has a monopoly on the rights so we'll get knock off football games like John Elway Presents or some such ********.

I haven't played a madden in over 15 years. I just download the tecmo super bowl updated rosters for free and play it on my nes classic. Its easy to put roms on

I remember NFL 2k on Sega Dreamcast was a big deal. I was a Senior in High School when I sold my PS1 to get the Dreamcast. They had some really cool games. NBA2k was awesome and they also had a tennis game which was really fun. I never played 2k5, but that is regarded as the best football game of all time.

I remember playing either 2k2 or 2k3 on Playstation online... that was our friday night... grab some beer... 3 of my buddies all with a controller against some poor sap on the other end.

Those were awesome times.

Also they had real stars on the covers

Randy Moss was 2k2... and even though the bears are putrid... Urlacher was the 2k3 cover... both deserving hall of famers.

I played with a few friends and things got pretty heated. We played Madden a lot, basketball and boxing. This would cause things to get personal.

I had a blast playing Madden online in the late 2000's when online ability was just taking off. I pissed off so many people with my quick passing attack that would gash defenses. There where many times I'd throw off people on the first play with Moss in the slot and split the S's instantly for a 80 yard TD. Players would try to play ball control and take time off the clock where I'd counter with a quick TD. I got cursed out a lot. I had a damn good online record.

My friend and I did that as well. He'd take a few drives or a half with his style of play and then I'd come and completely throw off the opposing online player with my style.
