Yeah, no, I don't think so. I like winning but I don't like rooting for bad people. I don't mind being "the bad guy", but I don't want to go back down the AH road. I'll pass.

I realize that Brady didn’t play much his first season, but Belichick coached the QB’s that season and did film study with them every week, which gave Brady the time to fully learn the offense before having to run it. Zappe had no such opportunity, instead he was stuck with Patricia and Judge learning an offense they didn’t even understand. Again, I’m not knocking Zappe, and I agree that the defense was good, but the offense was a mess, and even the special teams sucked. I just don’t think that team had a hope in hell going anywhere, regardless of who played QB. I hope whomever the QB is this season has a much better year, but unfortunately as things stand right now it’s hard to see them having a playoff season. Maybe Belichick and his coaches can have an incredible year coaching this team, because if they don’t then it’s going to be a long season.

**** Rehbein was the Qb coach that year. The notion of learning the offense or not is. QB's that do not fully grasp the offense get a watered down version of plays. They are protectedm they dont audible...Jones first year for example. It can at times make a Qb a little better than they actually are or look that way. Problem is, Defenses pick up on that pretty easy and after some time if you are not reading defenses and disguises and trying to run vanilla plays you are going to get destroyed as a QB.
