Yeah, that comment struck me poorly. Jones has every right to think and feel that way, I wouldn't expect anything else from a competitor, but for him to publicly state that he "deserves" to start - in light of everything that has happened - didn't land right.

In Belichicks mind Mac has regressed whether he wants to look at his coaching staff as the reason or the player directly it is what it is.

Well said Zappe played well overall and is WAY above his expectations for this year and yes racked up two awesome scores against them….meanwhile Mac HAS regressed and is struggling….hard to dispute that….I would love to see Mac do well here but I’m not sure I see it ending well on both sides (if he doesn’t play well the next few games could be tough going….and B) He has to be a bit chafed after fans chanting for Zappe as soon as he came into the game and apparently he is not happy that McD is gone and doesn’t connect well with judge and Patricia from what sources are saying…
