Missed practice again today.

Not surprised. He looked completely out of it after that play. Ninkovich also injured his ankle during practice, which should be something to monitor going forward. Have to lock up a bye this weekend. The team needs it badly.

More worried about the Bills defense than I am their offense.

Please, O-line protect our QB.

Marquice Cole waived, per Prentice McCray, as well. I'm sure that's a short term move, though. They'll need him for depth purposes or else the Pats won't have anybody to hand out passing touchdowns as if they were giving out candy.

This game is not a gimme. Need these dinged up guys out there as much as possible. Seems like Solder and Vereen were out there, which is great.

Concussion protocol is fairly strict, and it looked like his was a pretty bad one. I would have been surprised if he was practicing by now.

In any case, this is one game where I'll gladly make the hypothetical trade of secondary health for o-line health. The Bills' pass rush is scary.

What's standard operating procedure for this exactly? I'm not altogether clear on the policy. My understanding is that he wouldn't be practicing yet anyway, regardless of his status for Sunday. IIRC, Welker didn't practice the week before the Broncos-Pats game until Thursday or maybe Friday.

That said, better safe than sorry of course!

he was knocked into last year with that hit...expected.

Just manage to get the bye without him and get him another week of rest

Good thing we have Harmon.

well, I think we will be fine from a secondary perspective.

I was worried about Suggs and Elvis on Sunday with our O line issues and that didn't turn out to bad. They had about 20 sacks coming into the game if I recall. Bills D line looked much tougher against the phins......hopefully our O line and run offense will keep them off of TFB.

I think no practice Christmas might have affected the protocols.
He was probably just exercising today.

If the player is progressing, he would be become eligible for increased physical activity. The workouts would ramp up over a few days if no symptoms occur.

A player feeling normal one day after the game might pass cognitive testing Tuesday and begin a light exercise program, intensify their exercise routine Wednesday, participate in non-contact aspects of practice on Thursday and return to full practice Friday. But if a player has a history of concussions or isn't progressing as quickly as planned, the process moves accordingly.
