Michael Lombardi just said on NFL Total acess that the Cardinals are only asking for a third for Boldin...just saying He would want a new contract though.

Holy moly! Trade #53 and say keep the change!

Re: Cardinals want a 3rd for Boldin

That 3rd round pick they gave up for Burgess looks pretty bad right now.

whats he looking for? somewhere between 7-10 I guess?

Re: Cardinals want a 3rd for Boldin

How much money does Boldin want? Perhaps we could negotiate them down to a 4th.

Re: Cardinals want a 3rd for Boldin

Wow dont know what hes looking for in terms of $ per year, but a 3rd rounder for him seems like a steal for the team acquiring him.

Re: Cardinals want a 3rd for Boldin

Having to use the 2nd since we don't have a third, why not this:

2nd round pick
Afalius
------------
Anquan Boldin
4th round pick

They need pass rush help.

Me thinks that is why the Cards are asking a 3rd- $$$. Plus he'll be 30 in Oct. No old but not young.

Yeah good points, did not know hes turning 30 this year.

Oh come on..why does everyone want a team age 29 and below? 30 is the prime of his career. So he has 3 years of "great" left before it goes downhill. The contract would be three years anyway.

I just don't get how a player aged 30 is a red flag not to get him.

I never said it was a red flag, just surprised hes turning 30 this year. Seems just a couple years ago he had that awesome rookie year, time does fly by sometimes.

Plus hes been banged up a little these past couple of seasons. Durability may be another factor perhaps.

Good thought..... but is Boldin the answer?

A 2 would keep him away from the JETS.... and no doubt he would land on our lap.

Can we afford this type of trading w/ a great draft selection? We r incomplete and (before) when we bartered we were a Juggernaut.

-do we give up a 2 for Boldin?

keep him away from other teams
replacement for Moss in '11

I think we gotta do it.... I just don't know a great deal about him b/c it was the Larry (Fitz) show.

Rookie of the year, 3x pro-bowler, averaged 80 receptions last 4 years. He could be a #1 on alot of teams, and a fantastic #2 here.

Pats don't like to shell out big bucks for players 30 or over. Boldin is an outstanding player. Would love to see him here. The fact is that hes had some nagging injuries these past 3 years. IMO his age can't be overlooked.
