LOL. The NFL changes the time of the Steelers and Chiefs game

This is GREAT NEWS for the Pats (if we win of course).... It will leave the winner of the Chiefs/Steelers game even less time to prepare for the Pats, especially if it's the Steelers... They will have major delays getting back home. Wouldn't be surprised if they are forced to spend the night in KC and fly home back on Monday.

I smell #ICEGATE coming....

If it's the chiefs they will have basically a week to get ready as next sunday's game is in the evening. So root for the steelers?

This would NOT have been a problem if the pats ended up the 2 seed. See what HFA does? Sorry GOONdell.

They'll come up with evidence that BB and TB have been texting some guy nicknamed the Ice Man in KC.

Looks like Fraudger's plane was going to be delayed. Hey Rog, the weather is supposed to be fine here in NE. Come on down, if you dare!

This was expected. They've been predicting a massive ice storm in KC since Monday.

INCLEMENT WEATHER IS SUPPOSED TO CONTINUE INTO SUNDAY NIGHT! THE NFL IS AN ABSOLUTE JOKE
So it will refreeze when it gets below 32 degrees.... Remember the league has a problem understanding the concept of temperature and how it affects things like IGL.....

Move it to Monday or Tuesday even.
If they moved it to Monday night, think about what the winner would have to do to get ready for the next Sunday game for the AFCCG....They would oppose it tooth and nail....Get back home Tues morning if Pitt and then potentially fly to Foxboro on Sat ( if Pats win)

I can just hear Tomlin complaining now that the Patriots were somehow responsible, saying "It's always the case that we experience weather issues before going to New England!"

My guess is that the NFL's primary motivation is avoiding getting sued.

It took until 2015 for the NFL to resolve all the lawsuits that came out of the 2010 Super Bowl, when snow fell from the retractable roof the day before the 2010-2011 Super Bowl in Dallas.

Between the six contractors injured, disputes with stadium employees about over compensation for working conditions and overtime, and the class-action suit by the Super Bowl ticket holders whose seats weren't able to be cleared out in time, it turned into an expensive five-year headache for the league, so it's hardly surprising they'd go to extremes to avoid a repeat.

I don't care what the reason is, I actually love this change!

It felt a little empty without Sunday Night Football last weekend.

Exactly. The NFL does not care for the fans, only its public perception and wallet.

The weather is legit supposed to be bad, my friend is driving back to Kansas from Arkansas and is worried about this ice storm.

I do not like this idea. But I guess less time for the Squealers or Chefs to recover their bodies. So kind of a win for us?

"Roger's doing a great job!"

They don't, when have they ever changed the time of a game due to weather like snow rain or ice. RATINGS

Weather? Ratings?
Integrity!

The ratings theory doesn't really work. The Sunday afternoon time slots for the divisional games are historically some of the most-watched -- the game might actually have drawn better numbers at 1pm with no competition, than it will in primetime, especially in single-TV households. And that's before factoring in NBC's losses for having to run filler at 1pm and preempt the Celebrity Apprentice.

If the NFL and NBC thought that the game would do better in primetime, they'd have scheduled it there to begin with.

San Diego has a stadium that's empty. RG should do hia buddy Spanos a solid and move the game there. At least the SD fans would see one real NFL game this year.
