[Likely fake] Mick Jagger to perform at this years Super Bowl halftime show

if the choice is Taylor Swift ... * snip * ... I'll take Taylor.

Hell, just play Shaboozey's A Bar Song four times.

If it were the Stones, I'd agree, but just Mick... nah.

I don't even like country, but if they got a good mix, I'd be up for that. Hell, just play Shaboozey's A Bar Song four times.
His song Good News is decent as well.

Personally I'd love to see Dead and Company play for their 60th anniversary but I'll take Mick - and hopefully Keith with him

Man, whoever said that ****roaches will be the only thing to survive a nuclear war is SERIOUSLY underestimating Keith Richards!

I thought Jay Z controlled the halftime show. Hence why all the halftime performers in recent years had ties to him and his company, Roc Nation.

Jagger still puts on a good show. But I only like a small handful of his solo stuff. So if he isn't doing Stones music, I really don't care.

He is.

BTW, quick question. In the title of this thread, is the "likely fake" refer to the announcement that Mick Jagger is the Super Bowl halftime performer or the ongoing conspiracy that Mick Jagger died and has been replaced by a cyborg?

Y'awl know it's Bad Bunny, right?

Yep and there was a substantial thread going on it until it became...

...political.
Much to the surprise of absolutely... well... no one really

This would be far better than than some virtual dead guy performing…unless it was Ozzy…that would be great…and fitting. BACK FROM THE DEAD! Eh, too soon?

Would LOVE to have any of the classic rockers - and it wouldn't surprise me to see some surprise big starts coming out in support of Bad Bunny and opposed to the cancel culture that hates him.

But classic rock is my thing - and when I hear people say "WTF is the NFL thinking with Bad Bunny instead of the Rolling Stones?" I usually point out some simple math:

Bad Bunny Monthly Spotify Listeners: 78 million

Rolling Stones Monthly Spotify Listeners: 28 million

Kid Rock Monthly Spotify Listeners: 5.3 million

Lee Greenwood Monthly Spotify Listeners: 401,465

So "What is the NFL thinking?" Seems pretty clear, but also seems like the minority is struggling to accept that they are a minority

BTW - my prediction is that Bad Bunny works in his own rendition of Lee Greenwood's "Proud to be an American" to drive the minority crazy and let us all enjoy the Dunning-Kruger effect as people express outrage because they think Puerto Ricans aren't Americans!

You mean it might be a fake Mick Jagger?

I prefer 80s punk,goth, new wave anyway

I never watch the overproduced dreck they put on at the SB halftime. That I am a lifelong musician probably has something to do with it. It's not a musical presentation: it's a live-action cartoon for those fond of tasteless lightshows and pointless pyrotechnics.. This year's performer is a sick joke, of course, but I wouldn't have watched anyway.
