Was a very key cog in the D for several years. I was hoping he could still have a role for another season or 2. But with Barmore I feel pretty good about the DL obviously need to get him some help too though.

I really hope we extend Barmore in the next couple weeks. Another season like he just had and it is going to be a huge deal.

Another area the pats have to modernize in terms of roster construction is not overpaying depth players. Your 3rd safety & 3rd DT should either be players on rookie deals or vet min contracts. Releasing guy & phillips is a good start atleast.

It was time to move on. They both are aging and slowing down. Additional cap is a bonus.

Interesting we're seeing Mayo cut bait with some of these players. I think more are to come. Guy should've been cut last year. Phillips seems logical as well as they were hoarding too many S'/DB's.
