Elliot was a bit embarrassing IMO. You have someone come in to sign a 1-day retirement contract & he can’t be bothered to put on let alone a dress shirt when he really ought to be in a tie-jacket. I mean he‘s wearing a sweat jacket like he is a coach or something instead of what he is: ‚an office dude. ‚

Always liked Guy. Great teammate. Was an important part of that super bowl team. Not the first second or third DL man i think of in those championship years... but he was very solid. I am glad he got to say good by in a media session like this. Certainly deserves some publicity. Kind of wish we drafted him, then he'd be a better Patriots story if his whole career save that one Bengals year was here.

Nice to see. I remember his exit from NE was a little tenuous so it’s great that any perceived bad blood has settled, or maybe never actually existed. He was a solid player who was definitely underpaid vs his performance in NE and also a role model. Worth an eventual Pats HOF spot, I think.

Wise and Guy lined up side by side was always one of my favorites when looking at the backs of jerseys. Both were solid contributors and very good teammates.

Congrats on a 13 year career. By all accounts that’s a rare achievement on its own. Glad to see him end it here. Part of that super bowl win vs the L111 Rams sb in 19.

I was always a huge fan
played 500+ defensive snaps 7 years in a row here
I think he wanted to come back, but Pats cut ties with him. went to Cinci and played 91 defensive snaps before calling it a career.
Nice to see him come back for the 1 day contract/retire deal.
