Kraft's response

Why suspend the ball boys? I don't get it, this can come back and bite the Patriots big time. The punishment is outrageous and lacks sense. However, I am baffled that we were first to suspend the ball boys.

I gave up on Kraft

Nothing will come of this. Surprised Kraft even went this far. I'm over Kraft. He can go to hell.

Ok so what should have he come out and said that would have sufficed you?

The Patriots didn't suspend anyone. The NFL did.

Can he ban Goodell from the stadium? That's a start. Don't allow him to be at the Thursday Night game. Make him buy his own ticket.

By itself, this statement needs nothing. I'm still skeptical that Kraft will actually do anything. But if he does go nuclear over this, I'll retract everything negative I said about him today. I don't see it happening, though.

I interpret his statement as 1. I revoke my earlier waiver of rights and 2. I have no idea what (if anything) I will do about it

You don't have all the facts. We suspended them and the NFL piggybacked on it.

Nothing. What does Kraft have to do with this anymore ? He can't get the picks back. It's over. That pick is dead. That he comes out with a statement at all is useless. Words. He "said" (got his people to write) words. Who cares ? Goodell is in place, in large part, THANKS to Kraft and a few others.

Kraft should open his checkbook, hire a crack team of investigators (or reporters from the national inquirer) and dig up the personal dirt on Goodell.

Hell, let's take up a collection here.

If that's your conviction, if you believe Brady, you don't suspend the ball boys.
If the dumb bastards didn't know enough to be careful what they were texting on work phones owned by the team, then they deserved what they got.

Kraft is just as responsible for this mess as Goodell. We've been watching this play out since Spygate (and before), and Kraft's done nothing to stop it. Hell, he's been Goodell's #1 facilitator.

When Kraft's balls drop, and Goodell gets the axe, he can get back to us. Until then, Kraft's words might just as well be farts in this wind.

As long as I'm fantasizing about things that I'd like Kraft to do but I know he'd never do...

Use the main video board to highlight cheating/misconduct of that day's opponent. So for the opening game, they could show copies of newspaper articles where the 70s Steelers admitted to roiding up, show a picture of Rapistburger and put up "assaulting a woman (or whatever it was exactly he was suspended for) - 4 games. "More probably than not 'generally aware'" of a football being deflated - 4 games.

And so on.

Kraft wasn't going to come out and give a "f*ck the NFL" type statement and it is naive to think he is going to snap his fingers at 9pm on a Monday and Goodell will be gone as the commissioner.

But that statement if he is 100% sincere speaks loudly.
Disagree and Agree.
The statement itself is as close to "go **** yourselves" as a CEO will make.
Agree that it's going to take time.

I think the statement was weak, but if I am Goodell I better hope I do not have another Ray Rice incident. Bob Kraft will be lying in wait for an opportunity to use his influence to oust Goodell.

He needs to begin speaking out against Goodell by name to the media every chance he gets. The league can get a puppet for ownership that will still line their pockets without being a totally incompetent dunce like this assclown former Jet Goodell is. He seriously needs to go. I've never been so convinced of it in my life.

Apologies, I misinterpreted your post. Thought you were speaking on the indefinite suspension handed down by the NFL today and attributing it to the pats.
