Kraft regrets giving Belichick so much power without “checks and balances” in place.

I dont get this dumping on the HC by the owner(in so many ways) with whom you had unprecedented success that too this soon. The dynasty doc, calling up blank, all the "hard ass vibe comments" . Is jerry jones still complaining how jimmy johnson was. ? Just move on. You had great success. You had bad yrs - you made the move now and just look ahead. Ridiculous grave dancing IMO.

Looks like we can put the “ Bill wasn’t in control “ argument to rest now.
why? because RKK said so? I'm sorry, and feel free to disagree if you'd like, a lot of what RKK does is self serving. Nothing moreso than this...

His more recent behavior makes me think if he farted in a room, he'd try to blame someone else.

what we've been getting from RKK lately is a microcosm of "the winning side writes history"...

Abysmal BB is still better than what we have right now.

Hell, my high school coach is better than what we have now.
Way too soon to judge Mayo imo. He’s a rookie HC who coaches like one right now. We’ll see where they are after the season.

There’s none of the dysfunction that we saw the last two seasons…

No, its really not.

No dysfunction? Have you been watching the games at all? They have been a visual depiction of the definition of dysfunction

You don’t want to fall back on that comparison, trust me. Not only were there TONS of hard feelings in the immediate aftermath, it took 25 years for Jerruh to put Johnson In the Ring of Honor. Ex-players were threatening to boycott team events so yeah, there were some grudges there.

You fell for the entire Kraft produced hit jon on Belichick, didn't you?

If you can't see Kraft is deflecting his whole ineptitude, that's OK. You'll come to realize his ineptitude soon enough.

I can give you one absolute example of Kraft's control: he foisted Guerrero on Belichick in 2019 despite Guerrero giving players training advice that contradicted the coaches.

Bill served him very well - obviously - but then he didn't, and the Krafts, rightly in my mind, fired him. Robert shoud keep his yap shut about the matter at this point: he sounds like a petty ingrate here. The real problem is that the Krafts did a lazy, sloppy, unprofessional job of replacing the old regime with a new one. Robert has reached the point in his life where he should pipe down and step aside. I have resisted complaining about the Krafts until now, on the theory that it's their team and they can do with it what they wish, but this effort by the Krafts at distracting us from their own failures by whining about Bill's is pathetic.

For starters I don’t see coaches publicly fighting with staffers and going AWOL, coaches who were not allowed to bring their own staff aboard leading to him quitting and a HC that completely stops talking to his starting QB.

Kraft has turned into crazy old man rambling who doesn't know when to shut up.

Kraft likes to see himself as 1/3rd equal of the dynasty but nowhere else does that happen, all you hear out of KC is Mahomes/Reid then it would be Kelce, Spagnolo, Chris Jones as smaller pieces ect you never see Clark Hunt out pining for his 1/3rd share of credit.

He's probably drunk, it is what it is.

I'm grateful for what Kraft has done overall for this franchise, but he's kind of a big dumb baby

It really isn't though. Anyone who believes he'll fail is more likley to be right than wrong. Almost all of Bill's disciples have gotten fired quickly and Mayo is his least experience assistant.

In addition, there was a question on one of the sports shows last week as to why NFL HC's are getting worse and can't hold jobs? Guys like Mayo getting hired is the reason why. History is not on Mayo's side.

Apparently Kraft is full of ****.

Checks and balances is just BS line. It sounds good but it was never needed. One 4-13 season and not having it suddenly becomes cause to fire BB.

Yeah history is not on his side but I’m willing to give it the season to see how it goes. He has to start somewhere…

Yeah that's because there was very little dysfunction previously you don't know what you are looking for because the dysfunction now is a complete other level.

The letter which the team put out last yr that they will be hiring an OC etc was all ownership. BB wouldnt be doing that.

The dysfunction was designed by the Krafts.

Internally they had coaches submarining the head man. No good could come of that. If the owner tells the DC he's firing the HC and replacing him with the DC in the middle of the season, and gameplans are being made while circumventing the HC, that is a high level of dysfinction RIGGED by the owner.

Not to mention foisting the most gutless QB in NFL history on the HC despite the HCs clear attempt to move on by signing a better QB.

This is par for the course from Kraft, what he's done since he jammed Guerrero into the locker room.

This would be my choice.

The dilemma I see with Mayo is that if he fails badly, he will be lucky to gets positional coaching gig anywhere else.

I think they'll win a couple more games now that Maye is starting. But if they don't and go 1-16, Bob has to actually clean house this time.
