Kraft regrets giving Belichick so much power without “checks and balances” in place.

Bobby goes on vacation for 20 years, but is then upset when the last 3-4 years have been rough. Proceeds to hire a HC with very little coaching/play calling experience.

There are Owners who'd just like to be good for one year.

My dislike for RK just keeps growing and growing. He is a whiny little man that needs to go away fast ! The amount of times he has thrown Bill under the bus is complete BS, Without Bill, he would be irrelevant !!!!

Bill the GM is what he’s talking about. After the 2015 draft when Belichick took an unathletic DB in the second round was the sign he was overruling the scouting department to take Boy Scout Jordan Richards. As if Bill was running a summer camp. It’s a shame.

GM Bill shot HC Bill in the foot. The team will be dealing with the talent deficit for two or three years.

BB wanted Brady gone.

Who really knows why? We all have our theories.

But, Kraft could have kept Brady and vetoed BB telling him that he knows where the door is. Kraft didnt because he thought it over and saw the outstanding job BB did with his team and Kraft wanted more Super Bowls. Realistically, how many more years did Brady have left? When Brady won # 7, that really upset Kraft because that was his Super Bowl that he gave away to another owner. Right then and there is where the beginning of the end started for BB and Kraft.

He's not wrong, he should have had more "checks and balances" in place. But when you accomplish what Belichick did here you earn the rights to the reins. Belichick held them tight 'til the buggy went in the ditch and here we are. The end of a long relationship is seldom pretty and neither is starting over. It is what it is.

Doesn’t matter why he did it… it was 100% the right move and I would assume he’d do it again given the chance.

True but HC Bill was also abysmal the last two seasons.

After the 2024 FA and draft it will be a bit longer.

Kraft wants to believe he is responsible for the two great decades. And - while I ‘get’ that some on this board are willing to play the ‘RK is the boss’ cards, I just don’t get it.

Kraft is a billionaire and hired the right guy to build this all up. They got lucky on an exceptional QB who played like no other had or has and they did a LOT winning.

RK is a loser who hired a winner (who in turn lucked out on another winner in the draft).
