Kraft: I regret "that the conference championship game wasn’t played here in our hometown."

A strange choice of words.

Typically you regret something you could have done to change an outcome.

Its been implied in some circles that BB could have done "something" to achieve HFA.

Maybe Bob is living in those same circles

It's interesting that he phrases this 'as regret'. After all, to regret something indicates that one had control to do something but chose not to. It's almost like he is admitting the Patriots didn't try in the the last two games thinking it wasn't a big deal.

....otherwise he would have said he was 'disappointed' that it wasn't at Gillette.

YUP! I said all along, once we were in position to have 1 seed again, how do you not do everything possible and throw in kitchen sink to get that advantage. It was there for taking, just not executed enough with urgency.
I'm still mystified by the game plans in the last two weeks.

It seems to me that, just like you can't be "a little big pregnant," you also can't "kind of sort of" try to win an NFL game by executing a conservative game plan that minimizes the risk to your Franchise QB, while leaving him on the field. You either go all out and call the plays that give him a chance to win or, if you're that worried about protecting him, you sit him and see what JG can do.

It wasn't a big deal. It would just be like Roger Federer thinking it doesn't matter if he or Novak Djokavic serves in a one game match and in fact giving the ball to Djokavic instead. I can understand why Belichick and Kraft would underestimate the importance of HFA.

Not quite. Federer and dkokavic would still be playing on the same court regardless of who serves. I hope you are joking btw.

That depends on which circle you're in

Yeah, Ian keeps banning me but I've hacked his server because it's broadcasting an IP.
It's like reverse Michael Corleone...

"Every time they kick me out....I keep geeeeetting back in."
