Looks like it's going to be an Achillies tear for Kobe. He said that he was hoping that it wasn't what he thought it was going to be, but "felt nothing there" when he tried to put pressure on it. I don't like the Lakers. As a matter of fact, I hate that organization with a passion. But I've always respected Kobe as a gamer. I have to admit that I felt really bad for him, for the first time in my life, when watching that postgame interview. I hope he can rehab hard and make it back next season. The game is better with someone like Kobe in it, no matter how much you may hate him.

Also, it's going to be interesting to see whether or not the Lakers (who are trying to cut cap, with Kobe having a cap hit of $30M next season) part ways with him in the offseason.

He's like Jeter. I've loved to hate him. The ultimate competitor. You have to admire that. If I was the Lakers, I'd cut him. It is what it is.
