I come back and notice AndyJohnson is locked out of his account. I also read how it happened. This basically confirms my theory that he has no idea how forums work and is living in 1980s. With that said, I hope he gets back in.

This is my issue. People are treating Kaep like he ****ed their wives.

Kaep is probably a bad player now, but people need to stop getting so mad over him kneeling. Its fine if you dont like it and like Kaep you deserve your freedom of speech. However the Colin haters just sound emotional to me.

Don't give me the "his choice" line of garbage, if you're going to turn around and start *****ing that the other side is somehow the emotional one.

There are 7 days in a week.
There are 24 hours in a day.
There are 60 minutes in an hour.


So, if we call it 2 minutes of kneeling (you can call it 1 minute, or 3, if you prefer, but I'm not doing that math), Kaepernick had 10,078 other minutes where he could have chosen to kneel, yet he chose these specific 2. There's a reason for that. You know it. I know it. Everyone with a functioning brain knows it. And you not caring about his stance on the flag is not justification for you saying ridiculous things on the topic.


Kaepernick deliberately protested at a moment of high impact. When you protest at a moment of high impact, you tend to be more likely to get ............ high impact. So dismissing the "Colin haters" as "emotional" is asinine, since that's exactly the point of the protest in the first place. People don't protest in the hope that everyone will be bored and ignore the protest. They protest in an attempt to rile people up.

Well, mission accomplished for Kaepernick.

He made it pretty clear it had nothing to do with the military. Anybody taking it as that, put words into his mouth.

Both sides have been pretty annoying to be honest lol. Nobody really rates Kapernick for who he is now. He isn't garbage but he also is not the guy that brought them to the Super Bowl ages ago.

He lied. He played word games. He was deliberately misleading. He was full of it.

You can call it what you wish, but he was being dishonest. He chose the time deliberately. He used the time in order to draw attention to his protest. That time was a moment to celebrate the flag/military. So of course it had something to do with the military, even if only to the extent of callously using it to suit his desires and purpose. That's beyond question.

Man this guy is insufferable. He was no longer a starting caliber QB, refused to take a backup contract, cries about collusion blah,blah,blah.

If football meant that much to him he would be playing in Canada. But football is not what he seeks, he needs the NFL platform.

I'm a minimum government, maximum freedom guy, and I still come down against Kaepernick on pretty much everything to do with his protest, because he was an idiot, not because he protested. And I come down on his defenders because they're being idiots about the specifics of this situation, not because they're allegedly defending free speech (which they aren't even doing). So you be you, I'll be me, and we'll continue to mock each other from opposing sides of a vast intellectual and emotional chasm, but we'll do it no more in this thread.
