LOL ... I remember that night vividly. My sister and I were in hysterics watching the Butt Fumble replays, when the kickoff fumble return by Eddleman pushed us over the edge! Many Tears!!

Thx. Rough day. I needed that.

Who made the hit on McKnight for the KR fumble? What a play!

Just seconds before we ran back the kick I said to my brother "Now all we need here is a fumble and run back for a TD."

Best part of that game: I was watching it with my wife's three brothers:

...all Jets fans. Their reactions were effing hilarious. Making fun of their own team, swearing repeatedly... and to his credit, one of them actually used the phrase 'butt fumble'. Good times.

vereen was definitely one year too soon ...

Why anyone will chose to have Rex Ryan as a Head coach boggles my mind. You can have him as defensive coordinator to some degree of success, but my biggest complaint about him is his reactions on the sidelines. Either he has no control or he is playing to the media as most of his actions are.

I REALLY miss football baseball just doesn't cut it

Wilfork got way too much credit on that play. That was all Sanchez... just running as hard as he could straight into his OL's ass and fumbling the ball away to infamy. All Wilfork did was hold his ground.

Buttfumble! One of my favorite words in football!

Very true but I have already sold the folklore to my son so the Wilfork version of the story will prosper for at least another generation in my family.

The term a New York minute forever took on a new meaning for me after that sequence.

On the buttfumble I thought that Collinsworth was going to start crying after his initial reaction of OH NO!

I don't think that's accurate. Big Vince definitely moved his man into the path of Sanchez. How else would Sanchez run directly into the back of his lineman?
