Nice t o have someone that Offenses fear and have to game plan for. Judon reminds me of Chandler Jones.

He's going to join that club real soon if he keeps it up. I know Tipp has good things to say about him. Not sure what Willie has said but I'd be surprised if it wasn't very positive.
Edit I just mean Patriots club he's obviously already well established from his time in Balt.

For 'schitts & giggles'...

(Insert the name of almost every player selected by every team in 2018) Who was chosen before JC Jackson was signed as a UDFA by the Pats.

I know right?

"Let me take the opportunity to remind everyone how much Belichick sucks."

I hope Jamie Collins is healthy. If so bring that guy up.

I'd also like to see if McGrone has improved since preseason.

Judon, Bentley, Collins, Uche, Jennings, Tavai... that could be a really solid group.

What's the point of this ^ exercise?

In 2016 this team was a Super Bowl contender who largely didn't draft, pushing many of their picks into later years. The players they did select were chosen because they could possibly help the team in the immediate future.

Cyrus Jones was drafted to take over punt return duties from Edelman who was getting old. Jones was the best punt returner in the nation in college. He pissed his pants as a pro, but how could anyone know that in advance? He was a bust, that's on him.

Joe Thuney just got 80 million dollars and plays at a Pro Bowl level every year... great pick.

Jacoby Brissett was drafted specifically because Brady was going to be suspended the first four games of that season, because Jacoby ran the same system we did in college, and because he was big, strong and didn't turn the ball over. When JimmyG got "hurt," guess who was asked to step in and play in that first month? They were drafting for need at that point... he was needed.

Valentine played well his rookie year then fell off. It's too bad, he had plenty of talent.

Malcolm Mitchell helped us win a ring, he was a good WR... he got injured and his career was over. The goal of drafting him or Sony for that matter was to win a ring now, they won a ring.

Judon didn't start a single game his rookie year but eventually developed. Over the course of his first three years in the league the Patriots played in three straight Super Bowls and won two of them. Their defenses at this time (when healthy) was tops in the league. You only have a finite amount of picks and roster spots, you can't draft or roster everyone... and most rookies wouldn't have made those 2016-2018 teams anyway.

I don't get the "they only played in 3 Super Bowls and won 2 of them" logic...

"Sure, the success our team has had so far this century is unparalleled. But take a moment and consider the stratospheric greater success we might have had if only we didn't have that lunkhead running things!"

While we may not agree with it, we can at least understand the sense of entitlement of 30 year old Pats fans. They've known nothing but being in contention, a playoff spot was their birthright and anything short of an AFCCG was a letdown. What I find incomprehensible is that attitude coming from anyone over 40, they should certainly be capable of recalling a time when their team started the season already out of consideration.

As much as Actual Pats Fans (not tagged on purpose) wants to spin otherwise, they were generally bad with periods of good. These guys really have no idea how bad it can get.

The problem that we have with the image vs reality of the team pre-Kraft isn't so much the losing. Sure they were a sub ,500 team but not in an epic Jete sort of way. Pre-Kraft hey weren't the "Patsies" because of having more losing than winning seasons. They were the "Patsies" because their owners were losers. The salt to our wound was not only did we know it, so did the rest of the league.

As for the idiots peeing on Belichick, the Pats regular season record was 275- 312-9, 256-102 since. There's plenty of other meat on the bone but anyone wanting to put the boots to Belichick needs to start there.
