I hope the brady offer of 1 game if true doesnt come back to bite him because NFL will settle if it has to at the 11th hour I think

I agree that the NFL will want to settle before the season begins but their current stubborn position may be due to an attempt to see how the case is weighing on Brady so that they can extract more out of him. I think Brady has already revealed his final position if the reports on a 1-game no guilt offer are true.

NFLPA attorney Jeffrey Kessler spoke first. He mentioned precedence of a case overturned by Berman "within the last four months" in which Berman ruled that the arbitrator "can not dispense his own brand of industrial justice."

Hmm, sounds kinda similar.....

if the judge has already decided, then he should just rule. You cant have settlement talks when one side believes they have a right to ignore evidence and hand out punishment, and the other side believes they are innocent completely.

I think there will be a settlement by the night of aug 30th. This crap always happens against a deadline. May or may not be happy settlement.

I can't believe that TFB would offer to accept anything. He's done nothing wrong, so why risk his legacy and every good thing he stands for just to settle something that is an outright attack upon him.

If anything, I believe that the rumor of him accepting a 1-game suspension is something floated by Goodell and his thug monkeys to see what kind of reaction it brings.

If brady was offering 1 game with no admission of guilt and the judge today told NFL privately that he will rule against them , will they now come back to accept the offer or say 2 games ? thats why if Brady/PA were calling NFL's bluff could backfire.

So this Aug. 31 hearing will be a showdown. The Judge will have decided by then - *privately*. He will have written his opinion.
This is kinda dumb, why string it along if the Judge has decided. What more has he got to think about, I'm sure he already knows his decision. If true, I do feel good about Brady's chances. If he was going to rule against Brady, I think he would have done it already.

Agree. But its hard to be the person in the middle of things and make a call vs sitting on the sidelines like us. There may be a lot of things going on which we are not aware of . We all want brady to take it to the end but how he feels and how this is weighing on him is hard to judge.

He doesnt want litigation to continue after his ruling with appeals and stuff to waste time and money so he is encouraging to settle. That seems to be his goal, to end this here.

The NFL cannot agree that Brady accepts no guilt. That would effectively say that Brady was being honest all along and that there is no guilt. That unravels everything in their web of deceit. It's looks better for Goodell that it ends with both sides being able to claim they were right.

I would hope that Brady doesn"t accept any suspension, but if they are negotiating a suspension then Brady should demand that Goodell be suspended as Omissioner for the same period of time.

Bleep this NFL*!

So are they already done for today?

Another two more weeks of this nonsense? Good grief, let's get this over with.....

Exactly . And this is how the judge wants both parties and their bosses to feel. The squeeze.
