Pats get at least something out of next to nothing and still there's *****in' here
#asexpected
I was thinking a 5th at least.. but hey it's something.. we picked dial in the 6th and pop as well.. I feel like dial is going to become a solid pro.

Yeah, but a solid player like Uche for a 6th?

Right but obviously by trading him they're telling you that they were not going to resign him.

I mean we can't really argue against that fact because what they're telling you is is that they don't want him.

Uche was benched yesterday, and has been strongly speculated as one of the guys teammates have been complaining about as freelancers.

If Mayo and Wolf are trying to build a culture here, he’s the type of guy you need to get rid of if that’s the case.

I do agree that the return seems like peanuts, but on the other hand, what has he done in the last season and a half to warrant more?

Pretty sure he was benched because the trade was coming down.

How low can you go?

He was almost positively one of the freelancers other defenders were calling out. We just saw the defense improve with him on the bench so this is addition by subtraction. He really should have left in the offseason so to me anything we got for him was a bonus. I just wish it wasn’t the chiefs in case he does end up finding it.

Uche's been bad this year and we weren't going to sign him next year. We found a trade partner in the Chiefs and got a return instead of nothing. That's the right play.

"Helping the Chiefs" is irrelevant. We shouldn't get nothing for a player because a good team will get him. The Chiefs are not what is currently standing in our way of winning a Super Bowl. Other fans used to cry all the time when we got deals like this during the dynasty. Bad teams need assets and the success of the good teams is irrelevant to them.

On that theory, this is addition by subtraction. Disappointing return but if he is one of the freelancers then it's best to clean up the culture.

I swear the Chiefs roster looks just like how our rosters of the winning era looked.. not start studded but good players who excel in thier positions.
Chris Jones on that DL is like Mahomes to their Offense he makes everything click. Like having Brady and Seymour.

We don’t know who the Patriots will sign / draft between now and game 1 2025. For all we know we might get lucky and land another Judon. Uche is good when someone like Judon is on the other side…but I do get your gist.

A 2026 6th rounder? Not good. The Chiefs? Worse
Maybe I am wrong about Uche’s potential.

Patriots: you can have him for free
Chiefs: no, no, you can have our 2098 6th unconditional

Compensation isn’t much obviously but some of yall are acting like Uche was make or break for the Chiefs to win the Super Bowl.

Most likely was done to do Uche a solid.. guys been a total pro..on and off the field. He's one of the guys you root for.. I'm sure he's excited knowing he's getting a ring.

Newsflash, the Chiefs probably won't win this year.

I’ve seen others post that too, but why? They’re 7-0. Yeah, they’re flawed, but who’s going to knock them off? The Bills are as inconsistent as ever. The Ravens have a history of blowing it in the playoffs, and have allowed more points than the Pats thus far this season. The Texans? Diggs might be done for the year. The 9ers have major injury issues. The Lions? Awesome story, but would anyone bet money on Goff over Mahomes in the Super Bowl?

I’m not seeing it yet, as much as I’d like to see it.
