Patriots Player Departure Josh Gordon Stepping Away?

The big question of how this went down is still pure speculation.

Rumors and guesses abound but there is nothing official or factual. Not that it matters all that much but as a fan, I want to know. Did the player intentionally violate the protocol or... Did the NFL seize upon some technicality (like football inflation for example) and then notify Gordon who had no choice but to walk away.

The NFL has destroyed this player previously with stupid pot rules , and it would not surprise me if they initiated this to also hurt the Patriots. Comments.. or factual developments..?

Poor Josh.

Everyone is against him.

What do you mean no official word? He flunked a drug test and was suspended indefinitely. Are you saying there is a conspiracy ?

They are holding out hope.

Josh should sue with Bradys lawyer. Case looks good.

Hey boy

An addicted person last night hit a Houston police cruiser and it burst into flames. One officer might not make it and the other is burned. At the press conference today, another officer summed it up perfect. This could have been all avoided if not for one persons selfish actions.

Bingo. Gordon does not care and needs people just like you so he can keep doing his drugs and drink.

An “addicted person” got in a car accident in Houston. Therefore we shouldn’t feel bad for Josh Gordon.

I think we got Aristotle reincarnated posting on PatsFans!

oh somebody did something, so Gordon is bad? He did not murder anyone like AH. Gordon was born into a very bad situation. Some were lucky and brave enough to escape and others were less fortunate. Your logic is flawed as ALWAYS.

Gordon does not care.

Thats obvious.

Details, the devil is in the details. Flunked a drug test is speculation.

The wording is "violated POLICY". kinda vague

To get this back on track does anyone know why Josh Gordon wasn’t released and still on the roster? Couldn’t the Patriots have cut ties with him outright? Seems odd they would keep him on roster as this is not his first strike and is suspended indefinitely.

So they are showing empathy and retaining his rights so if he even gets back on track ( hopefully) he knows there is a home for him in the NFL... By all accounts, he performed well in his time here, both on and off the field. Unfortunately he slipped up and is paying the price..
We don't know the demons he has to battle........

Wow just wow. Not sure how to converse with someone who is so out of touch. Not only are you saying this whole roster is a mistake but you think BB thinks so too. I guarantee you BB does not think this team is a mistake.
Ah, so you don’t think there’s going to be some wholesale roster changes this offseason? That’s an interesting (and moronic) take.

No. The league suspended him indefinitely. There is no confusion. Details are irrelevant to Goody.

He no longer takes up a roster spot because of the suspension, so no need to cut him right away.
