Jones intercepted pass hits sky-cam cable

Watching the video, it could be the wire. But I'm thinking it's the big, athletic DB jumping up in front of the receiver that caused the interception. Looks like the wrong place to throw it to.

I don't think anyone was disputing that or using it to make excuses. It was a bad throw leading to an interception. It may also have hit the wire, which is interesting and worth examining so that TV equipment doesn't affect games in the future.

The excuse industry for lil Mac is just bangin', aint it?

Can we just leave it at "it was a bad decision" and stop trying to find a phantom wire that caused the interception to justify it?
The worse part about the pass is that Rham was open right in front of him for a 6 yd completion making it 3rd & 4 or less. Maybe the wire blocked Mac's vision of the open receiver.

I can’t wait for the next excuses for Mac ! What’s next? Mac pass hit air so it slowed down the ball which made the ball hit the defender chest. without air Mac would have completed the pass.

Mind boggling that people can't see a world where Mac made a bad throw or decision AND the wire affected the pass. The two can co-exist guys. It's ok. This isn't the politics forum where you have to be blue or red strictly

BSPN says it didn't, or course they also said 9 out of ten......

It's said moon balls can do that.

Unless the video I'm watching has been altered there's no way the ball didn't hit the wire

Wire is 15 feet above the ball. Kinda hard to hit it unless he threw a Sky ball.

Is there video or a still of this or are we just going by ESPN's word? Cause the gif I'm looking at the ball pretty clearly makes a sudden jolt right when it passes the cable

Interception for the Bears, Under review.
Review: F%^*k the Patriots.
First down, Bears.

Idk but if the wire was 15' above the ball, then the ball passed across the wire for a while and the weather could've affected both the wire and the ball. Honestly, idc.

Tbh i dont really care either it's more of a mere curiosity at this point lol. Like debunking haunted houses

They didn't lose because of that and Mac had a bad game but the ball hit the wire, they lost because the defense had a bad game. Maybe Mac wouldn't have been pulled if he got a redo and plays better but we'll never know.

I doubt ESPN would release that statement without good evidence, but they’ve proven that wrong before.

Watching the live shot, I don’t actually see the wire. When I watched the replay multiple times, I was darn sure it didn’t touch the wire. Then someone posted another video that made it look like it did, but it involved a sound effect and an arrow pointing to the ball, which could alter perception.

I’m not sure. Regardless, it didn’t have any practical impact on the outcome of the play or the game.

Whoa, what? You must be lying. I was told yesterday that Mac never has open receivers. Only Zappe gets plays with open receivers. More lies being spread on Patsfans. Have you no shame?

Why would they lie? It's too easy to confirm. I mean the game was at Foxboro.
I’m not sure if they lied as much as bs’d. What evidence do they have? They have certainly spun before
