I do not know if this has been discussed already, but it has remained of particular interest to me (even more than Brady's issue) this off season. I just heard on 98.5 that LaFell practiced with the "ones" last night and that he has been on the field in limited action for the past couple of practices. This would seem to indicate that he might be ready for ready for the opener. I know NE does not talk about injuries, but this has been one of the more puzzling cases to me, especially since I feel few people have been commenting on it.

Anyway, this is great news and I hope he is close to 100 percent, if not fully 100 percent at this point. He is very important to this offense. Time to ball hard and defend that Title.

IMO they have enough receiving talent, they should try to trade Dobson to someone like Cleveland for a 3rd. I still believe Dobson can be good but I also think New England has too many good receivers to wait around for him right now.

Nah, I advocate keeping him on the depth chart. The starting receivers are obviously good enough to get the job done (including the TE's) but 2013 showed what a couple of injuries could do to this offense. The more depth, the better.

Do to injuries Dobson stock value is low, so he's worth more to Patriots then the outcome they could get in return....

Unless he was officially activated from the PUP list I doubt he actually practiced. He might have been present at practice but I think whoever is reporting that is confused.

Why would anyone waste a 3rd rounder on Dobson ? There are some on this board who seem to really like Dobson : that is fine and I hope he becomes a contributor. However, I don't think he'll ever contribute and would be fine moving on from him. Jojo was a contributor. And I'm glad to read this report of him being out there.

I agree. With LaFell still being eased back into things and Wayne not quite in game shape and knowing the offense, they are better of with Dobson than a 5th rounder.

Exactly. He cant practice at all while on the PUP list. Did they take him off? It would have been all over the news. Something is not right. Also, please dont mention IR/DTR regarding Lafell. Why would the pats waste that on a player they could have just left on the reserve PUP list?
